As the New England Patriots prepare to face the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 60 in Santa Clara, Calif., at Levi's Stadium, one of the most popular questions for bettors is: Will Stefon Diggs score a touchdown?

After a career-revitalizing season in Foxborough, Diggs is making his first-ever Super Bowl appearance. He's been the veteran anchor for rookie quarterback Drake Maye, but a tough Seahawks secondary stands in his way of greatness.

Market Odds Implied probability
Anytime touchdown scorer +250 28.6%
First touchdown scorer +1500 6.3%
2+ touchdowns +2200 4.3%

The betting market currently views Diggs as a high-value play rather than a lock, primarily due to Seattle's lockdown defense. It doesn't help that Diggs has only caught one touchdown in the playoffs so far.

Why Diggs will score a touchdown in Super Bowl 60

Here's a reason why I believe Diggs will score in the Super Bowl.

The "Big Game" volume

While the Patriots have rotated receivers like Kayshon Boutte and Mack Hollins, Diggs remains the "alpha" in that receiver room. In the regular season, Diggs led New England in targets (100), receptions (85), and receiving yards (1,013). Most importantly, he ended a long postseason scoring drought in the Divisional Round against his former team, the Houston Texans, proving he’s still a primary red-zone threat. Diggs has also led every receiver with 17 targets in the playoffs, which means you shouldn't be surprised when Maye looks his way when the Patriots need a score.

Prediction: The value is absolutely there for Diggs to score. At +250 betting odds, I am sprinkling on the Pats' No. 1 option to find the end zone.

Where else to play Diggs: His receptions market. The volume is going to be there for Drake Maye with the Patriots likely trailing come the second half, so don't be scared to play the Over on his 4.5 receptions as part of your best Super Bowl player props. He won't go for many yards tonight, but he will get his catches and be a chain-mover.
