The stage is set for Super Bowl 2026, with the Seattle Seahawks taking on the New England Patriots. With the opening odds out for the matchup, I'm exploring who will win the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl 60 is on Sunday, Feb. 8, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. ET from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. (NBC). The Seahawks are a 4.5 to 5.5-point betting favorite after opening at -3.5.

The Seahawks are the most complete team in football and have been for much of the season.

With a historically great defense and one of the few game-changing special teams units, they require less from their offense than almost any team in the league.

But even that offense has hit another gear in the playoffs, led by Sam Darnold and All-Pro wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Seattle needed the best game of Darnold's career to escape the Rams in the NFC Championship Game, but that will prove to be their most difficult test of the season. Super Bowl 60 won't require the same near-flawless performance from the journeyman quarterback, who leads the Super Bowl MVP odds. The Seahawks outclass the Patriots in nearly every area, including coaching.

Credit to star sophomore quarterback Drake Maye and the Patriots' defense, which has allowed only 26 points across three games this postseason. But they've had one of the easiest paths to reach the Big Game of any team in recent memory, including getting the Broncos' backup QB in the AFC Championship. Maye, the NFL's most accurate passer during the regular season, hasn't been the same player in the playoffs. He's completing less than 60% of his passes and has taken five sacks in each playoff game.

New England has gotten past some of the league's other elite defenses during this postseason run, but the Seahawks are only team the Patriots will face that also fields a top offense.

But it's incredibly difficult to hit on an exact score wager, as the +8000 odds translate to an implied probability of just 1.23%. You won't find any exact score pick with shorter odds than +5000 or an implied probability over 2%.
