The Buffalo Bills already flashed some prime-time heroics during the NFL's season-opening week, and we'll see them for the second time in a three-week span as a 10.5-point betting favorite at home against the Miami Dolphins by the Thursday Night Football odds for Week 3.
As always, TNF will kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video. Our NFL picks will wade through the NFL Week 3 odds for your best bet on every marquee game.
📊 TNF Week 3 odds: Dolphins vs. Bills (-10)
There's little variance in the Thursday Night Football odds for Week 3. Buffalo is between a 10- and 10.5-point betting favorite at home against its AFC East rival. The NFL odds may shift slightly following the season's second week, but I'm not expecting much of a line adjustment with Buffalo on the road against the New York Jets and the Dolphins at home to the New England Patriots.

Our NFL odds update in real time and show the best line/odds for either side of the spread, Over/Under, and moneyline:
The Thursday Night Football odds for Dolphins vs. Bills moved 2 points in Buffalo's direction after Miami laid an egg against the Indianapolis Colts, and Buffalo stormed back to beat the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1. Bettors can find a line of Dolphins +10.5 at DraftKings or Bills -10 at Caesars.
The Over/Under is at a consensus of 48.5, with Buffalo expected to do most of the scoring.

🧠 Thursday Night Football betting tips
Mind the shorter week
The majority of teams participating in Thursday Night football will be getting just four days between games – and that isn't much time at all to prepare. Teams dealing with personnel or coaching changes or key injuries could be at a major disadvantage. And while those factors are baked into the odds, it's still an element worth your research time.
Expect a slow start
Thursday Night Football may have largely ditched its long-time reputation of being a snoozefest last season. Teams averaged 23.7 points per game last season on Thursday night.
However, a few inflated outputs boosted that number. The Chicago Bears dropped 40 points on the Washington Commanders in Week 5; the Dallas Cowboys put up 41 points on the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13; and the Las Vegas Raiders erupted for 63 points in an embarrassment of the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15.
Home-field advantage? Not ATS
There are trends that make sense, and then there's the NFL's Thursday Night Football point spread trend, which most certainly does not.
Road teams have been surprisingly potent in recent years despite playing in hostile territory on a short week, going 30-31 SU and 38-22-1 ATS in TNF contests from 2019 through the 2023 regular season.
