With one week left in one of the craziest NFL seasons in recent memory, the Seattle Seahawks lead the Los Angeles Rams by the latest Super Bowl odds entering the final week of the regular season.

The Seahawks beat the Rams two weeks ago in an overtime stunner and beat the Carolina Panthers last week to remain in control of their path for the No. 1 seed in the NFC. Then Los Angeles fell apart on Monday night to drop even further in the playoff race, though the Rams still hold the second-shortest odds entering Week 18.

Those two sit just ahead of the Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers - who both have a chance to claim the top seed in their respective conference - with the Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, and New England Patriots close behind.

🐏 Rams lose grip as Super Bowl favorite

For the first three months of the season, it felt like a foregone conclusion the Rams would emerge from the NFC and reach the Super Bowl for the second time in six years behind a likely MVP winner at quarterback and a defense that thrived on chaos.

Then chaos struck in the other direction, as Los Angeles' special teams unit played a key role in a Week 16 loss to Seattle before its offense fell apart on Monday against the Atlanta Falcons. Matthew Stafford sullied his NFL MVP odds with three turnovers in that 27-24 loss, which also knocked the Rams off the top spot in the Super Bowl odds.

To be clear: this is still a dangerous team that should play a key role in the eventual winner this year, but L.A. will likely need to win two or even three games on the road to reach the Big Game. If you think Sean McVay and Co. get it done, there's no better time to bet on the Rams, who still profile as argaubly the best team on paper.

🦅 Eagles climb with ugly win over Bills

After three straight losses and a seemingly inevitable NFC East crown in doubt, the Eagles were in hot water two weeks ago as they stared down the final four weeks of the season. But as the defending champions have done before, they appear to be peaking at the right time after a critical Week 17 win over the Bills.

Philly's defense, which has looked like one of the best units in football at times this season, came through this week by holding Buffalo's high-powered offense to zero points through nearly 55 minutes of Sunday's 13-12 win and standing tall at the end after Josh Allen overthrew a two-point conversion in the waning seconds of an instant classic.

With the win, the Eagles' chances of securing the No. 2 seed in the NFC remain alive for another week, though they'll fall no lower than the No. 3 seed. And if their defense can maintain this level of play into January and February, we could see the second back-to-back champions of the decade.

⛏️ 49ers own path to top seed with SNF win over Bears

When the Seahawks took down the Rams last week in a Thursday night thriller, it put the 49ers in a unique position: win out, and avoid a road game for the entire postseason.

That remains a possibility after San Francisco held off Chicago in a shootout on Sunday Night Football to remain in control of the top spot in the NFC. If the Niners beat the rival Seahawks next week at home, they'll secure home-field advantage throughout the postseason - including the Super Bowl, which is hosted at Levi's Stadium this year.

The 49ers' defense didn't exactly look like a Super Bowl-caliber unit in that 42-38 win over the Bears, but this offense is averaging 42.3 points in three December wins to cap off a six-game win streak dating back to Nov. 9. We've seen this franchise make deep runs in recent years; don't be surprised to see it happen again.

🦬 Bills slip out of top 5, fall behind Patriots in AFC betting odds

With so many AFC contenders featuring potentially fatal flaws entering the postseason, it looked like this could finally be the Bills' year amid a four-game win streak entering Week 17.

Yet Buffalo's offense, which had been one of the most consistent units in the league entering this week, looked listless for nearly 60 minutes on Sunday before an inspired rally that was ultimately too short and too late to save the day. It was a positive sign for the Bills' oft-criticized defense, though it wasn't enough to pull off the victory.

The loss won't jeopardize the Bills' playoff hopes, but it could set up a potential rematch with the Patriots in the wild-card round. It also shook the confidence of the betting market, which now has Buffalo slotted behind the Patriots and Broncos in the AFC.
