Super Bowl 2025: Chiefs vs. Eagles

73 - Combined points when the Chiefs and Eagles met in Super Bowl 57 two years ago, which saw Kansas City kick a late field goal for a 38-35 victory. Philly's 35 points were the most ever by the losing team in the Super Bowl.
2,447 - Rushing yards this year by Saquon Barkley, which is 30 away from setting a new single-season record (including the postseason). He owns the second-shortest Super Bowl MVP odds behind only betting favorite Patrick Mahomes.
7 - Total touchdowns of 60-plus yards by Barkley this season, the most ever in a single campaign. He took the Eagles' first offensive play for 60 yards and a score in the NFC Championship, one of a record-tying seven rushing TDs for Philly in that game.
55 - Points scored by Eagles in the NFC Championship, the most ever by a team in a conference championship game and the most in any playoff game in 25 years. It was also the highest scoring output by any team in this entire NFL season.
9 - Consecutive victories in the Chiefs postseason winning streak, which is tied for the second-longest in NFL history. A win over the Eagles would tie the 2001-05 Patriots for the longest streak of all time.
17 - Postseason victories by Mahomes, the second-most in NFL history behind only Tom Brady (17). Mahomes is on pace to eventually overtake the GOAT in the Tom Brady vs. Patrick Mahomes debate.
12 - Wins by the Chiefs this year after trailing at any point - tied with the 2017 Eagles for the most in NFL history. They've also won 12 one-score games this season and 17 in a row dating back to last year, both of which are NFL records.
6 - Super Bowl appearances by Andy Reid, tied for the second-most by a head coach in NFL history behind only Bill Belichick (nine). This is also the fifth rematch between Super Bowl coaches ahead of this Andy Reid vs. Nick Sirianni rematch; the winner the first time is a perfect 4-0 in the second matchup.
0 - Teams have ever pulled off a Super Bowl three-peat by winning three consecutive Lombardi Trophies. The Chiefs are the only one of nine back-to-back winners to even reach the Big Game for a third consecutive season.
55 - Years since the Chiefs won their first Lombardi Trophy with a 23-7 win over the Vikings in Super Bowl 4 (1970). Only five teams have appeared in more Super Bowls than the Chiefs (seven), who could move into a tie for third in Super Bowl wins (five).

33 - Times that a quarterback has won the Super Bowl MVP award, more than any other position. Mahomes has won three, tied for second behind only Brady (five), and could become the first player to ever win three in a row.
10 - Total Super Bowl rematches in NFL history with the Chiefs meeting the Eagles once again. The team that won the first meeting went 7-3 in the second matchup, which includes a 4-0 record when both games are within five seasons.
7 - Teams that have erased a double-digit deficit in the Super Bowl. The Chiefs have done so in all three of their Super Bowl victories with Mahomes, including the only postseason matchup in Chiefs vs. Eagles history.
283 - Offensive touchdowns in Super Bowl history, which includes 179 passing touchdowns and 104 rushing touchdowns.

77 - Combined age of the oldest Super Bowl touchdown tandem in history. QB Rich Gannon (37) connected with Jerry Rice (40) in Super Bowl 37 (2003), a 48-21 win by the Buccaneers over the Raiders.
65 - Points scored in the last Super Bowl in New Orleans, a 34-31 win by the Ravens over the 49ers in Super 47 (2013). That was one of 11 games in New Orleans Super Bowl history and came 11 years after Tom Brady won his first Super Bowl at the Superdome.
Super Bowl records & milestones

505 - Passing yards by Tom Brady in Super Bowl 52 (2018), which broke his single-game record set the year before (466). His Patriots lost to the Eagles, 41-33, in Philly's first and only Super Bowl win to date.
204 - Rushing yards by Timmy Smith, who set the single-game record in his first career start as a rookie to lead Washington to a win in Super Bowl 22 (1988). Eagles QB Jalen Hurts owns a share of the touchdown record (3), which he set in the loss to the Chiefs two years ago.
215 - Receiving yards by Jerry Rice, whose monster performance carried the 49ers to a 20-16 win over the Bengals in Super Bowl 23 (1989). He also hauled in three touchdowns in two different Super Bowls, which is another Super Bowl record.
133 - Receiving yards by Travis Kelce in the Chiefs' loss to the Buccaneers in Super Bowl 55 (2020), which is the most by a tight end in Super Bowl history. He also paced the position with a record 86 yards in the second half and 78 in the fourth quarter.
108 - Yards in Jacoby Jones' touchdown return for the Ravens in the last Super Bowl in New Orleans in 2013. That remains the longest play in Super Bowl history.
75 - Total points scored in the 49ers' 49-26 win over the Chargers in Super Bowl 29 (1995), which was the highest-scoring Super Bowl of all time. The 49ers also hold the single-team scoring record in a 55-10 win over the Broncos in Super Bowl 24 (1990) - the biggest blowout in Super Bowl history.
16 - Total points scored in Super Bowl 53 (2019) in a 13-3 win by the Patriots over the Rams, who combined for the lowest-scoring affair in Super Bowl history. The Rams, Dolphins (1972), and Chiefs (2021) are the only teams not to score a touchdown in the Super Bowl.
25 - Points overcome by the Patriots against the Falcons in the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history. New England faced a 28-3 deficit in the third quarter of Super Bowl 51 (2017) but responded with 31 unanswered points in a 34-28 overtime win.
7 - Super Bowl victories by Brady, the most by a single player in the history of the Big Game. Three of his seven rings came before he turned 30, a record Mahomes could break with his fourth title win on Sunday.

30 - Winning tosses for tails compared to just 28 wins for heads. Both sides are dealing at even money by the best Super Bowl coin toss odds ahead of Super Bowl 59.
14 - Seconds elapsed before Devin Hester returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown in Super Bowl 41 (2007) - the quickest opening score in Super Bowl history. There's just a 0.58% chance of another first-play touchdown by the Super Bowl opening kickoff odds.
8 - Times that clear Gatorade (or water) has been dumped on the winning coach. The Chiefs poured orange Gatorade on Andy Reid in 2020 but have used purple each of the last two years, which is why purple is the favorite by the Super Bowl Gatorade color odds.
156 - Seconds for Alicia Keys to sing the national anthem before Super Bowl 47 (2013). It remains the longest in Super Bowl national anthem odds history - nearly three times as long as Neil Diamond's shortest rendition (62 seconds) ahead of Super Bowl 21 (1987).
9 - Total safeties in the history of the Super Bowl, which translates to one in roughly every 6.5 games or 15.5% of all such contests. The last one came on the first play of scrimmage in Super Bowl 48 (2014), a 43-8 win by the Seahawks over the Broncos.
2 - Overtime games in the 58-year Super Bowl history, including last year's 25-22 win by the Chiefs over the 49ers. The Patriots' record comeback win over the Falcons was the only other overtime contest in the history of the Big Game.

29 - Times the betting favorite has covered in Super Bowl betting history, posting a 29-24-1 record against the spread. The Over has also cashed 29 times compared to 28 wins for Under bettors, while the AFC and NFC have each won 29 times outright.
41.62 - Average points scored in the Super Bowl. The winning team has scored 30.05 points on average, while the losing team has averaged a final score of 11.57 points.
58 - Total points for the Over/Under in Super Bowl 51 (2017) between the Patriots and Falcons, which remains the highest betting total in Super Bowl history. They combined for 62 points in the Patriots' 34-28 overtime win.
4 - Consecutive years that the underdog has covered the spread, which is tied for the second-longest such streak in Super Bowl history. Underdogs covered five straight years from 2012-16 before the favored Patriots' comeback win over the Falcons in 2017.
18 - Points that the Colts were favored by ahead of Super Bowl 3 (1969) before Joe Namath led the Jets to a 16-7 win in the biggest upset in Super Bowl history. Tom Brady led the second-biggest upset (14 points) in 2002 and lost the third-biggest (12.5) in 2008.
1 - Yard for the shortest touchdown in 36 of 58 total Super Bowls, including 24 of the last 35 and seven of the last nine. These teams each scored a 1-yard touchdown when they met in Super Bowl 57 two years ago.
11 - Consecutive years that the last team to score wins the Super Bowl. That's happened 44 times in the 58-year history of the Big Game, including 23 of the last 25 years.
1.3 billion - Estimated dollars wagered on last year's Super Bowl matchup between the Chiefs and 49ers, which was a rematch from a few years earlier. This year's Chiefs vs. Eagles rematch is expected to surpass $1.5 billion in legal bets to set a new record.
