One of the first steps while eyeing the Super Bowl opening odds is to assess the damage and see what injuries could impact the game in the Super Bowl 2026 injuries to watch.

Any key injured players ahead of the Seahawks vs. Patriots clash now get two weeks to recover, with the Super Bowl bye week lying ahead first before teams even head to Levi's Stadium ahead of kickoff at 6:30 p.m. ET on Feb. 8.

It's worth monitoring their progress as the day draws near, as an absence or any limitations could impact the spread, total, and player props.

🚑 2026 Super Bowl injuries to watch

🪖 Patriots key injuries for Super Bowl 2026

Robert Spillane, LB (Ankle)

This is the most significant recent injury facing either team, as Robert Spillane is a critical cog in the Patriots' sixth-ranked run defense (101.7 regular-season yards per game) after recording a team-leading 97 tackles. That came after the linebacker finished third leaguewide last year (158 tackles) and 10th in 2023 (148).

Spillane left the Patriots' AFC Championship Game early due to an ankle injury and didn't return. It's an issue he's been managing for a chunk of the season since Week 13. If he can't play or is limited, that's a significant boost for many props tied to Kenneth Walker, one of which is featured in our 10 Super Bowl bets to make right now.

Harold Landry, EDGE (knee)

Harold Landry missing time is colossal too for the Patriots, and Sam Darnold's passing numbers could benefit if he's out or not himself still.

Landry was New England's sack leader (8.5), and he tied for the team lead in tackles for a loss (10). He finished the season strong while notching a sack in three of the final four games. Landry has been fighting through a knee injury for a while before sitting out the AFC Championship Game. His snap percentage was at 27.4% during the playoffs so far, way down from 75.1% throughout the regular season.

Mack Hollins, WR (abdominal)

Mack Hollins played in AFC Championship Game while making a contribution with 51 yards on two catches. But his snap percentage of 60.9% was far lower than during the regular season. Hollins had been at 75% or above in five straight games before suffering his injury in December.

His participation is clearly encouraging, as is his ability to play at game speed. Still, it deserves monitoring how he rebounds from that game activity, as Hollins is a key deep threat when in top form.

🟢 Seahawks key injuries for Super Bowl 2026

Drake Thomas, LB (shoulder)

The Seahawks are also dealing with a key linebacker who's on the mend. Drake Thomas suffered a shoulder injury during the NFC Championship Game, and similar to the Patriots with Spillane, the tenacious tackler is foundational to a third-ranked run defense. Treveyon Henderson and Rhamondre Stevenson could get more open space if he's out.

Thomas finished second on the team during the regular season in tackles and tackles for a loss, all while recording 3.5 sacks. He's versatile and comfortable in coverage too, with Thomas tallying eight passes defensed.

Amari Kight and Josh Jones, OTs (knee and ankle)

Depth is critical deep into the playoffs, and the Seahawks' second- and third-string tackles are hurting. Amari Kight sat out the AFC Championship game with a knee issue, and Josh Jones missed practice time last week.

That's key because starter Charles Cross missed two practice sessions last week too with a foot problem. He was then able to suit up, but Cross remains a reinjury risk at a vital position where Seattle's depth is suddenly being stretched thin.

Robbie Ouzts, FB (neck)

The modern fullback is often a forgotten figure, but Robbie Ouzts is a key weapon to clear lanes for Seattle. He regularly made his presence felt this season, despite playing a modest 27% of the team's snaps.

Ouzts missed Seattle's NFC Championship Game win due to a neck injury, and he's an important source of brute strength for a team still adapting to life without Zach Charbonnet.
