Rarely do we get such a beautiful buy-low spot for a player, but that’s what we’ve got with Matthew Golden this week. Weeks 1 and 2 went poorly for the rookie wideout in the box score, but it’s one key peripheral that drives this bet: Golden leads the NFL in average separation score. Now that Jayden Reed is out indefinitely, Jordan Love won’t be able to ignore Golden.

The Packers got out to big leads early against the Lions and Commanders, and they’ll probably do something similar against the Browns. However, their first two games came at Lambeau Field, so playing on the road will be a new challenge for them. Their offense inspires confidence early. Look for Golden to capitalize on an uptick in volume, especially against a Cleveland defense that gave up loads of big passing plays to the Ravens.

I like Golden to surpass this rock-bottom total of 29.5. You can buy the Over for -115 (53.5%) at BetMGM to score an $8.70 profit on a $10 bet - and I encourage you to ladder this one through some higher numbers. Despite having just four targets to his name, two of them qualified as deep targets, so a single reception could yield 50-plus receiving yards for the rookie.

Another week, another Ashton Jeanty Under. We’ll be fading the Jeanty train until the wheels fall off – or until the rookie catches up to the speed of NFL action. While Jeanty has plenty of talent, the Raiders’ offensive line doesn’t. The unit ranks 32nd in run-block win rate (62%) and now must deal with the Commanders’ second-ranked unit in run-stop win rate (37%).

The books were content to leave Jeanty’s rushing yardage prop in the high-60s-to-low-70s over the first two weeks, but it looks like his Week 3 line is opening in the 50s. That’s okay. We can simply play him for Under 71.5 rushing and receiving yards. Jeanty’s awful pass blocking makes him a liability on passing downs, so he likely won’t get many chances as a dump-off receiver.

Lock this wager in for the cheap price of -115 (53.5%) at BetMGM to score an $8.70 profit on a $10 bet.

⬆️ Cam Ward Over 198.5 passing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cam Ward cashed our Under in Week 1 but busted our Over in Week 2. That said, I don’t regret playing the Over last week – the game script was favorable and Ward looked great in the first half – but then head coach Brian Callahan refused to let him throw much with a slim lead over the Rams. After Tennessee’s loss in that spot, I think he’ll learn his lesson and trust Ward this week.

Although Ward has just 287 passing yards to his name this year (143.5 per game), he boasts an impressive 509 air yards (254.5 per game). The problem largely stems from poor receiver play. Through two games, Ward’s receivers have dropped eight passes. That isn’t just noise, but it’s less signal than most think. I’ll bet on some positive regression from the unit.

Lastly, the 2-0 Colts are not that good. They rank 32nd in pass-rush win rate (19%) and 31st in pressure rate (11.8%). Teams simply do not stop passing offenses with stats like that. Back Ward for Over 198.5 passing yards at -114 (53.3%) at FanDuel for an $8.77 profit on a $10 bet – and consider laddering him for more than that as well.

How do NFL player props work?

Player props are wagers on individual performances rather than the outcome of the game. Common props include passing yards, rushing yards, receiving yards, and touchdown scorers. For example, if a QB’s passing yards line is set at 250.5, you can bet the Over (251-plus yards) or Under (250 or fewer yards). You can also bet on if a specific player will score a touchdown in the entire game, the first or last touchdown, and more NFL odds.
