Every football fan will have their eyes glued to the screen when Lamar Jackson returns to action for Thursday Night Football, and my Ravens vs. Dolphins prediction expects both teams to move the ball effectively.
The Ravens are the 7.5-point betting favorite, and my Week 9 NFL predictions below back the Over. I've also featured Mark Andrews, whom I expect to have a productive evening with his superstar QB back under center. The game from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., starts at 8:15 p.m. ET (Prime Video).

🏈 Thursday Night Football preview & score prediction
The Ravens are almost completely healthy, which should come with a warning sign for their forthcoming opponents. Only offensive tackle Ronnie Staley remains a limited participant, with everyone else on the full-participation list, including two-time MVP Jackson.
The mood in the Ravens' locker room must be as good as the aforementioned injury report. It feels like a situation ripe for the visitors to go off, at least offensively.
Jackson will love the fact that he returns to action against the fourth-worst unit in terms of DVOA and EPA per play.
The Dolphins offense, meanwhile, won't fear a Ravens defense that has the 23rd-ranked defensive DVOA and third-worst EPA per play. The weather will be ideal, which should help two of the three most profitable teams to the Over. The Dolphins are 6-1-1 to the Over and Baltimore is 6-1.
Hard Rock Stadium has seen three Overs in as many games this season, with an average of 55 points. While I'm also partial to the Ravens covering, I'm slightly more confident in betting the Over. All but one of the best sports betting sites have the total set at 50.5 points, with DraftKings, BetMGM, and FanDuel offering odds of -110.
A winning $10 bet will provide a $9.09 profit, and the odds imply a 52.38% win probability.
✅ Score prediction: Ravens 33, Dolphins 24

🆚 Key matchup to watch on TNF
Mark Andrews vs. Dolphins defense
Jackson has a favorable matchup against a unit with the fourth-worst defensive pass DVOA. However, the Dolphins are surprisingly effective at limiting opposing wide receivers, allowing the fewest yards per game to that position (107.62).
That unit isn't so proficient at stopping opposing tight ends, who average 63.62 yards per game. Only six defenses allow more yards per game to tight ends, which should open the door for Andrews.
While he isn't having the season he would like, he accumulated 91 yards against the Detroit Lions, Jackson's last complete game.
Despite his overall inconsistency, Andrews hit the Over on this total in two of four games with Jackson under center. FanDuel offers the lowest total (27.5 yards), and its -114 odds are longer than bet365, which has the total set at 28.5. A winning $10 bet will profit $8.77.
✅ Best player prop bet: Mark Andrews Over 27.5 receiving yards (-114 via FanDuel)

🌤️ Ravens vs. Dolphins weather
A pleasant evening is expected in Miami Gardens, with a temperature of 73 degrees at kickoff. There's no chance of precipitation, and the 15 mph wind gusts won't affect proceedings much. The wind could have a minor impact on long field goal attempts. Otherwise, the conditions are ideal for Thursday Night Football.
