Packers vs. Steelers Prediction: Sunday Night Football Odds & Betting Preview

Can Aaron Rodgers become the fifth quarterback ever to beat all 32 teams, or will the Packers win as the favorite in Pittsburgh?

My best Packers vs. Steelers prediction for the 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC) Sunday Night Football matchup tonight at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh is locking in on the Packers' road difficulties. Green Bay is the 3-point favorite by the latest Sunday Night Football odds, but I'm focusing my NFL picks on where Pittsburgh holds advantages.

Aaron Rodgers has never faced his former team, but the signal-caller being motivated isn't the only reason the Steelers winning is one of my best NFL predictions for Week 8.

💵 Packers vs. Steelers best bets

  • Game prediction: Steelers +3 (-113 via Caesars) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  • Over/Under pick: Under 45.5 (-110 via Caesars) ⭐⭐

🏈 Sunday Night Football preview & score prediction

At home, the Packers have won by an average of 10.3 points, defeating the Lions, Commanders, and Bengals. However, on the road, the Packers have an average scoring margin of just plus-0.3 points, despite not playing a team with a winning record.

Capitalizing on opportunities will be the difference

The Steelers have allowed the second-most passing yards per game, but the defense has forced 10 turnovers this season, tied for the fifth-most in the league. Meanwhile, the Packers have only forced three, tied for the second-fewest in the NFL.

It’s unlikely the Packers force a turnover in this game, as the Steelers have just five giveaways all year, tied for the sixth-fewest in the league.

The Steelers have allowed just 47.83% of red-zone trips to result in touchdowns, while the Packers have allowed 61.11%. And on the road, that number jumps up to 63.64%. Our Sean Tomlinson makes some picks to score with his first touchdown scorer predictions for SNF. Esten McLaren offers his anytime touchdown scorer predictions for SNF.

Caesars' price of -113 implies a 53.05% chance the Steelers cover. A $10 bet would pay $8.85.

βœ… Score prediction: Steelers 24, Packers 21
