🏈 Jets notes for Week 1

The Jets made a splash late in preseason when they traded with the Minnesota Vikings for defensive lineman Harrison Phillips, who said on Aug. 25, "The opportunity I have here, I think all you guys know that the arrow is pointing up here."
Receiver Malachi Corley, who was drafted in the third round last season, was waived by the team. He is most remembered from beginning a touchdown celebration too early last season and dropping the football before he crossed the goal line.
Fullback Andrew Beck, who came over from Houston in the offseason, is expected to play all over the field, including some at tight end. Michael Haney of 'Jet Press' says Beck could even lineup some in the slot.
