Lions vs. Rams Player Props Today: Best Bets & TD Picks for NFL Week 15

I'm expecting Jahmyr Gibbs to stay hot this week while betting on a Rams star to score twice.

Fireworks are expected in this matchup of NFC contenders in a game with the week’s highest projected total (O/U 55.5), which I look to take advantage of with my Lions vs. Rams player props. Los Angeles is a 6-point betting favorite ahead of today's kickoff from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., at 4:25 p.m. ET (FOX).

Much of the buzz surrounding this game will center around the two quarterbacks (Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford) who were traded for each other years ago. But my NFL Week 15 predictions place more value on each team’s leading rusher, while hoping to hit a touchdown scorer prop at +360 odds.

Kyren Williams Under 13.5 rushing attempts (-137) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rams running back Kyren Williams has nine games with at least one touchdown, tied for the most in the NFL. But the Rams' running game is likely to take a backseat to a high-volume passing day from Matthew Stafford, given the difficult matchup.

No player has run for 90 or more yards on the Lions, making them one of two teams not to allow a 90-yard rusher this season (their highest allowed is 83 yards).

In addition, fellow running back Blake Corum has averaged 11 opportunities and just under 60 yards per game since Week 7. Thus, Los Angeles may be making a concerted effort to keep Williams healthy for the playoffs.

One can get plus-money odds (+100) at BetMGM by backing Williams’ Under of 12.5 rushing attempts. But I am opting for the safer play and extra value with the better number at DraftKings. Its -137 odds carry a 57.81% implied probability, and would net $7.30 in profits on a winning $10 wager.I

I also include the Lions in my Week 15 NFL Upset picks, and the Rams might be airing it out if they're forced to play keep up.

🔥 More Lions vs. Rams prop picks

Jahmyr Gibbs Over 116.5 rushing + receiving yards (-113) ⭐⭐⭐

Perhaps no Lions player has benefitted more from head coach Dan Campbell calling the offensive plays than running back Jahmyr Gibbs. In that time, Gibbs’ 17-game pace is 252 carries, 1,737 rushing yards, 24 rushing touchdowns, 119 targets, 99 receptions, 942 receiving yards, and seven receiving touchdowns.

What stands out most from those numbers is that the 2,679 scrimmage yards and 31 total touchdowns he is on pace for would both rank first all-time.

Over his last seven games, Gibbs has a 200-plus rushing yard game, a 250-plus scrimmage yard game, 100 receiving yards in a game, a 10-catch game, and one game with a 14.0 yards per rush average.

Gibbs is now refreshed after extra rest having played last Thursday night, a game in which he had 120 total yards and seven missed tackles forced.

With Detroit desperately needing a win to boost its playoff chances, I expect Campbell to force-feed his best playmaker.

The best number and price is at DraftKings, as Gibbs’ O/U is as high as 118.5 on the opposite end of the market. Its -113 price carries a 53.05% implied probability, and would return $8.85 on a winning $10 wager if Gibbs totals at least 117 rushing and receiving yards

Davante Adams to score 2+ touchdowns (+360) ⭐⭐

Rams wideout Davante Adams leads the NFL with 14 receiving touchdowns, and no other player even has 10.

Last week, Adams only went for 29 receiving yards and zero touchdowns, marking just his second game without a receiving touchdown and under 50 receiving yards this season. What did he do the week after that first such game? He turned his 35 receiving yards into a whopping three touchdowns against Jacksonville.

Adams’ anytime touchdown odds are as high as -185, carrying a 64.91% implied probability. That makes it not as far-fetched that the NFL’s receiving touchdown leader would turn in another multi-touchdown game for the fifth time this season, and third time in the last four weeks. If he does, I would net $36 in profit off my $10 wager.
