Six days ago, the Philadelphia Eagles survived one of the coldest games of the 2025 NFL season in a narrow prime-time win. Now they'll have to withstand extreme winds tonight when they host the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football (8:20 p.m. ET, NBC).
Our Lions vs. Eagles weather report breaks down the latest forecast and potential betting impacts for this SNF matchup at Lincoln Financial Field, including the expected temperature and wind conditions to help inform our NFL Week 11 predictions.

💰 Lions vs. Eagles betting impact
We've reached the time of year when nearly outdoor prime-time game in the Midwest or Northeast is flirting with sub-freezing temperatures at kickoff. Tonight's matchup is no exception with lows in the mid-30s while feeling like 31 degrees by the fourth quarter.
The biggest factor tonight, though, is the extreme wind at Lincoln Financial Field. The latest forecast expects winds of 10-15 mph at kickoff lasting throughout the entire game with wind gusts reaching up to 35 mph. Here's what to know before betting on SNF:
- Beware the kicking game. With wind gusts exceeding the local speed limits at the Linc, that could create a miserable scenario for these teams' kickers - especially when trying to kick toward the north side of the stadium. That could lead to both sides opting for short-yardage conversions over field goals they might otherwise attempt.
- Expect a conservative game plan. The last time we saw the Eagles play in sub-freezing temperatures, they ran it 34 times compared to 26 passes with only 15 of those completions. The Lions play half their games in a dome, too, so it shouldn't surprise anyone to see Detroit lean on its run game in these tricky conditions.
- Could we see another Under? We've enjoyed (or endured) a strong run for Under bettors in prime time as of late, in part because of the chilly conditions once the sun sets for these late-night affairs. Both of these offenses are among the most efficient in the league, but the weather (especially the wind) could complicate matters tonight.
