🏈 Sunday Night Football preview & score prediction
Both of these teams are allowing 22.2 points per game or fewer, but that’s just one of the reasons why I’m backing this Under. The Lions have the second-highest scoring offense in football (31.4 points per game), but they’ve struggled against top-10 defenses, scoring just 13 against the Packers and 17 against the Chiefs.
Eagles’ offense still struggling to find rhythm
The Eagles rank 12th in scoring offense, averaging 24.2 points per game. However, they rank just 23rd in total offense, averaging just 303.2 yards per contest. They’re averaging just 191.7 passing yards (25th) and 111.6 rushing yards (21st) per game.
What makes the Eagles dangerous is that they’re converting 80.95% of their red zone trips into touchdowns, the best percentage in the league. Yet, they’re also tied for the second-fewest red zone attempts per game (2.3).
The Lions are converting 68.42% of their red zone trips, and they’re averaging 4.2 attempts. Because of this, I anticipate the Lions getting more opportunities on Sunday, leading to a minor upset in a low-scoring game.
DraftKings’ price of -105 implies a 51.22% chance that the Under hits. A $10 bet would profit $9.52.
Score prediction: Lions 24, Eagles 20

🆚 Key matchup to watch on SNF
Jahmyr Gibbs vs. Eagles’ rush defense
When Gibbs accumulates 65 or fewer yards, the Lions are 0-3. When he manages at least 87 yards, the Lions are 6-0. Luckily for the Lions, the Eagles don’t have a great rush defense.
The Eagles are allowing 118.6 rushing yards per game and 4.4 yards per carry, which rank 19th and 20th in the league, respectively. Gibbs enters this contest averaging 5.4 yards per carry, and he’s also been very effective in the passing game, catching 32 passes for 227 yards.
Gibbs has topped 85.5 rushing and receiving yards in six of nine games. With the Eagles ranking in the bottom half of the league against the run, Gibbs may top this number with just ground yards. But considering he has at least 30 receiving yards in five games, this is the safest bet of the game.
BetMGM’s price of -115 implies Gibbs has a 53.49% chance of hitting this Over. A $10 bet would profit $8.70.
Best prop bet: Jahmyr Gibbs Over 85.5 rushing and receiving yards (-115 via BetMGM)
