Will Justin Herbert play tonight? After speculation that the star quarterback could miss Monday Night Football (8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN), Herbert is listed as active with his Los Angeles Chargers hosting the Philadelphia Eagles at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.
The Chargers star is set to play tonight after leaving last week's game with an injury, though he'll fight through it and try to help spring an upset over the defending Super Bowl champions as part of our NFL predictions for Monday Night Football.

Herbert is playing tonight on Monday Night Football after being designated as questionable coming into this Eagles vs. Chargers clash to wrap up Week 14.
When Herbert went down last week against the Las Vegas Raiders, it felt unlikely that he'd suit up just eight days later. That felt even more tenuous after he underwent surgery earlier this week to repair a fractured finger on his non-throwing hand.
But the Chargers QB didn't miss any practice ahead of tonight's MNF clash with the Eagles, and the quarterback said earlier this week that he expected to play on Monday Night Football. The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported that teammates expected him to play, which had been the sentiment from coaches this week, too.
So it's no surprise to see Herbert listed as active tonight - it's what we expected when breaking down his injury update earlier today. Herbert has already earned a reputation as one of the toughest players in the NFL, so as long as he isn't risking long-term injury by taking the field, he was always likely to suit up tonight.
If Herbert isn't able to finish the game tonight, backup QB Trey Lance would step in after briefly seeing the field last week against the Raiders. The former No. 3 overall pick completed his only pass last week for nine yards, but he hasn't thrown a touchdown pass since his rookie season with the San Francisco 49ers.
