When Herbert went down last week against the Las Vegas Raiders, it felt unlikely that he'd suit up just eight days later. That felt even more tenuous after he underwent surgery earlier this week to repair a fractured finger on his non-throwing hand.

But the Chargers QB didn't miss any practice ahead of tonight's MNF clash with the Eagles, and the quarterback said earlier this week that he expected to play on Monday Night Football.
