With no snow and little wind, both quarterbacks are sure to make up the most popular Jaguars vs. Broncos player props. Here is how I expect the mild weather to impact the matchup.
- Unaffected passing attacks. Trevor Lawrence and Bo Nix are coming off season-best performances, each throwing for 300-plus yards and combining for 10 total touchdowns in Week 15. However, Nix certainly has the easier matchup against a Jaguars defense that ranks 17th in passing yardage allowed.
- Points, points, points. The Broncos have the second-best scoring defense, but Jacksonville has averaged 34.2 points over the last five games behind a never-looked-better Lawrence. With mild weather in Denver, expect these teams to near 50 combined points on the strength of two ascendant quarterbacks.
- Ideal kicking conditions. The thin air of Mile High is famous for providing the NFL's best kicking environment. We could see some deep field goals today, especially from Cam Little.
