⬇️ David Montgomery player prop: Under 1.5 receptions (-126) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

It seems pretty evident that the market expects more usage for David Montgomery this week. Detroit’s backup running back has a rushing yardage total of 52.5, which is up from last week’s mark of 39.5 when he finished with 27 yards. This week’s line marks Montgomery’s highest total since Oct. 5.

Rather than bet into an inflated line, I’d like to fade Montgomery’s receiving impact. He’s recorded 15 receptions on the year, clearing this mark in four of his 10 outings. He’s had one catch in each of the past two weeks.

I’m banking on Montgomery getting an increased rushing workload, so he might not be as necessary in the passing game. This Under is as high as -146 at FanDuel, highlighting the discount at DraftKings.

⬆️ Jameson Williams player prop: Over 24.5 yards long reception (-120) ⭐⭐⭐

Lions receiver Jameson Williams has become more involved of late. He has at least four receptions in four of his previous five outings, averaging four catches and 67.8 yards per game over that span. He’s cleared this long reception line in three straight contests.

Even before his recent uptick in usage, Williams was viewed as a big-play threat. He’s netted a long reception of 25-plus yards five different times this year. He also has long receptions of 24 yards and 22 yards in two other outings.

Basically, I’m comfortable banking on one big play from the former Alabama receiver. This line is as high as 25.5 at FanDuel, so I’ll pay the -120 price at BetMGM to win $8.33 on a $10 wager. But I’m not done with bets on Williams, either.

Did I mention that Williams is getting the rock more these days? He’s scored a touchdown in four of his past five games. He now has five touchdowns on the year.

According to Football Guys, Williams ranks second among all receivers in red-zone targets with four. Amon-Ra St. Brown has a commanding lead with 18, which is why he’s -125 to score at BetMGM.

I prefer Williams' value given his recent usage. We’d earn $16 on a $10 bet at these odds.
