George Pickens, WR, Cowboys (+800) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

George Pickens snapped out of a mini slump last week against the Los Angeles Chargers while recording his fifth game this season with 130-plus yards, and his ninth touchdown. He was connecting with Dak Prescott deep often while averaging 18.6 yards per grab.

He sits tied for sixth leaguewide in red-zone targets too (19). Now Pickens will take that volume and deep-ball effectiveness this season against a crumbling Washington Commanders defense that's tied for the sixth-most touchdowns given up to wide receivers (16). 

Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Lions (+650) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Minnesota Vikings defense Amon-Ra St. Brown will face is stout against the pass while sitting third leaguewide in yards allowed per game. However, even the strength of that unit could have a hard time holding up if given poor field position early due to the play of Max Brosmer, who's replacing J.J. McCarthy under center. 

Brosmer threw four interceptions during his only other start this season. Another one early could easily give Brown, the Lions' red-zone target magnet (30, tied for second), a prime opportunity to capitalize.

Bo Nix, QB, Broncos (+1600) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is the route to a larger Christmas gift through the much longer odds compared to my other first touchdown scorer predictions for Christmas Day.

Nix hasn't been busting out as a runner as often this season, though he's still logged three games with 30-plus yards. More importantly, his combination of speed and strength has contributed to four touchdowns as a ball-carrier. He'll now face a Kansas City Chiefs defense tied for the third-most rushing scores allowed to quarterbacks (five).
