It took a game for Giants QB Jaxson Dart to realize how challenging it is to be a starting quarterback in the NFL. The rookie signal caller threw two picks at the New Orleans Saints, and his team turned the ball over five times en route to a 26-14 loss to the previously winless squad.
I doubt the G-Men will commit five turnovers two games running, but a short week with a green QB under center after such a demoralizing defeat doesn't bode well, especially against a defending Super Bowl champs team looking to get back in the win column.
The Giants score the fifth-fewest points per game (17.4) and failed to eclipse 10 points twice. They have the third-worst offensive DVOA and are up against an Eagles defense that will be particularly sour after blowing a 14-point lead.
Meanwhile, the Eagles' offense, led by Kevin Patullo, isn't scaring anyone.
It is ranked between 15th and 19th in EPA per play, DVOA, and overall rating, and it's up against a Giants defense that has only allowed more than 26 points once, which came against the high-octane Dallas Cowboys.
It conceded 26 in New Orleans despite committing five turnovers.
