Eagles vs. Chargers Prediction & Opening Odds for Monday Night Football: NFL Week 14
Last Updated: December 1, 2025 12:07 PM EST • 3 minute read X Social Google News Link
My best Eagles vs. Chargers prediction based on the opening odds for Monday Night Football focuses on whether Justin Herbert will be healthy enough to play. He is getting surgery on his non-throwing hand this week, which bettors need to take into account when making their picks before kickoff from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif, at 8:15 p.m. ET (ABC/ESPN).
The Eagles are a 3-point betting favorite, although that might change if Herbert can't go. Our NFL Week 14 predictions will keep you up to date with Herbert's health and games across the week.

Chargers +3 (-103) ⭐⭐⭐
The Eagles’ offense has looked inept over the last four weeks, which is why my best Eagles vs. Chargers prediction backs the home team to cover. The Eagles have scored 21 or fewer points in each of their last four games, averaging just 15.5 points per game.
The defense has been solid, holding two of their last four opponents to single digits. However, on Black Friday, the Chicago Bears ran for 281 yards, while the Eagles themselves only produced 317 yards of total offense.
If Herbert can’t play, the Chargers will turn to the mobile Trey Lance. Additionally, the Chargers may be getting Omarion Hampton back. So even if Hebert can’t play, the Chargers are perfectly set up to take advantage of the Eagles’ 24th-ranked rush defense.
Caesars’ price of -103 implies a 50.74% chance that the Chargers cover. A $10 bet would profit $9.71.

Eagles vs. Chargers opening odds
- Moneyline: Eagles -140 | Chargers +118
- Spread: Eagles -2.5 (-110) | Chargers +2.5 (-110)
- Over/Under: Over 42.5 (-110) | Under 42.5 (-110)
Eagles vs. Chargers line movement
The Eagles opened as a 2.5-point betting favorite, and with Herbert’s health in question, the number has climbed to 3 or 3.5 at the best sports betting sites. If and when Hebert is cleared, I’d anticipate the spread dropping to the other side of the key number and settling at 2.5. However, this could reach 5 or 6 if he's unable to play.
As for the total, the number has dropped as low as 40.5 at many of the best sports betting apps. With how poorly the Eagles’ offense has played, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this hit 39.5 before kickoff.
