Best ATS pick: Chargers -3 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Here's what our NFL expert Gary Pearson wrote this week on why he's betting on the Chargers to cover the spread in this AFC West divisional rivalry:

"The Chargers were arguably the most impressive team in Week 1, with almost all facets ticking efficiently. The offense takes most of the plaudits, though, with Justin Herbert - the fifth-most clutch QB - starting his season how we would have envisioned in his best-case scenario dream.

He will face a Las Vegas Raiders defense that was made to look much better than it is by the New England Patriots, not unlike the Washington Commanders when they played the New York Giants."

Pearson also offers his best bet on the total, along with his favorite player prop, in his Chargers vs. Raiders prediction.

Best player prop pick: Jakobi Meyers Over 5.5 receptions ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Here's why our NFL expert Connor Cooper is betting on Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers to finish with at least six catches against the Chargers' defense:

"Jakobi Meyers has been the clear No. 1 receiving option for the Raiders since Davante Adams was traded midway through last season. According to Pro Football Network, Meyers has the most catches and second-most air yards in the NFL since Week 8 of last year, drawing at least nine targets in eight of 11 games.

That explains why Meyers has gone Over his receptions prop total in 11 of his 14 games, including last week’s win at New England when he had eight catches for 97 yards. He also has a high floor, collecting at least five catches in seven of his last eight outings."

Cooper is also backing two Chargers receivers to show out tonight in Las Vegas as part of his best Chargers vs. Raiders player prop bets.

Best touchdown scorer prediction: Michael Mayer to score anytime TD ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Here's why our NFL expert Esten McLaren is betting on Raiders tight end Michael Mayer to reach pay dirt tonight in an elevated role:

"Raiders head coach Pete Carroll said he expects starting tight end Brock Bowers (knee) to play tonight after returning to practice on Saturday. After he played just 32 snaps last week and Michael Mayer caught all four of his targets for 38 yards, I'm not sure the Raiders will be featuring Bowers too heavily at something less than 100%.

Either way, the Raiders remain short on reliable pass-catchers. Mayer, a second-round pick three years ago, should have earned himself a little extra work with last week's performance."

McLaren is also backing another tight end to score tonight as part of his anytime touchdown scorer predictions.

Best first touchdown scorer prediction: Quentin Johnson to score first TD ⭐⭐⭐

Here's why our NFL expert Sean Tomlinson is betting on Chargers wideout Quentin Johnston to score the first touchdown on Monday Night Football:

"Quentin Johnston's ability to win contested catches is what often makes him shine. His drops have been maddening, but if what he did in Week 1 is an early indication, Johnston could be poised for the patented third-year breakout.

He received two red-zone targets already during that upset win over the Kansas City Chiefs, turning one into a touchdown before showing his deep-ball mastery later in the game on a strike from just outside the red zone (a 23-yard score). That comes after he scored eight times last year despite modest production otherwise (711 yards and 55 catches)."

Tomlinson also has his eyes on one of the Raiders' top targets to reach the end zone as part of his first touchdown scorer predictions.
