How Kalshi's celebrity attendance market works

There are some important caveats for this market that you'll want to be aware of before you jump in.

  • The market refers to "attending" as being inside Levi's Stadium between the beginning and end of the game
  • The market outcome will be sourced from numerous high-end news agencies and social media posts by the celebrity in question

๐Ÿ…ฐ๏ธ The A-Listers

It's an impressive list of A-Listers that you can trade on at Kalshi, here's a look at the full list, the chance they're receiving on prediction markets (and the implied odds that it carries), and the prices for Yes/No in cents. 🐰 Bad Bunny besties?

It seems that Kalshi is keeping itself in the clear when it comes to the Bad Bunny entourage, and not listing any of his supposed halftime show guests as possible celebrity sightings.

๐Ÿ”ฎ Which celebrities will we see at the Super Bowl? Predictions & odds

A lot of these markets are skewed pretty heavily toward the "no" side of things, but perhaps that's going to lead us to more value plays.

  • A President in the spotlight: President Trump said he's not attending the Super Bowl, but would you be surprised if he changed his mind? At just 8 cents for the "yes," it's probably worth a roll of the dice. Trump loves the spotlight as much as any president and has been a fixture at major sporting events, including past Super Bowls, during his tenure.
  • The biggest tech giant? Elon Musk is listed at 39 cents for the "yes," but the event it likely going to be a who's who of Silicon Valley; it wouldn't be a stretch to see the entrepreneur in attendance
  • Swifties unite: Last year all eyes were on Taylor Swift as she watched her fiance Travis Kelce compete in the Big Game; she's not doing the halftime show this year, but will she pass up the party? At only 16 cents for the "yes," there's some value in the pop superstar showing up

๐Ÿ“– How does Kalshi differ from sportsbooks?

Unlike sportsbooks, Kalshi users trade directly with each other in an open market rather than betting against a house. Prices are expressed in cents as implied probabilities, and positions can be sold early to lock in gains or limit losses. For entertainment events like the Oscars, the focus is on forecasting outcomes, not beating a fixed line, offering more flexibility and transparency than traditional betting.

๐Ÿ’ก Why should I wager on the Super Bowl celebrity sightings at Kalshi?

Kalshi offers four unique advantages over traditional sportsbooks:

  • Flexibility: Unlike a "locked-in" bet, you can sell your contract at any time.
  • Transparency: You trade against other users, which can allow you to find better value.
  • Federal regulation: As a CFTC-regulated exchange, your funds are held in a secure, transparent environment.
  • Availability: Kalshi is available in many regions where traditional sportsbooks aren't yet legal.
