Soldier Field could play host to one of its coldest games of all time today with the temperature expected to reach 10 degrees at kickoff with wind chills as low as -19 degrees. Both of those numbers would register among the lowest in history for the Bears, who are looking to shake off a loss following five straight wins.

💰 Browns vs. Bears betting impact
If you're a fan of frigid temperatures and history, you'll surely love today's game between the Browns and Bears, who will have to dig deep to execute in one of the coldest games in recent memory.
Temperatures are expected to sit between 10-12 degrees throughout, but it'll feel like below zero degrees on the field with a wind chill as low as -19 degrees. With that aforementioned wind reaching 10-20 degrees with gusts as high as 25 degrees, there will be nowhere to hide from the cold - and the wind itself could impact this game, too.
Here's how I'd consider the weather when betting on Browns vs. Bears player props and game lines:
- Which side can fight through the pain? Let's just be honest about what we'll see today: regardless of either team's game plan, it's miserable to play in below-freezing temperatures. It's even worse when it feels like it's below zero. Whatever these coaches call from the sidelines, it'll come down to which players are mentally tough enough to execute. That would seem to favor the Bears, the only side still in playoff contention.
- Running backs should earn their keep. When temperatures drop to potentially dangerous levels, there's no better antidote than handing it off to your running backs 30 times and hopign to wear the defense down. Chicago features one of the best run game in the NFL, while the Browns have embraced a run-first identify behind rookie rusher Quinshon Judkins with fellow rookie Shedeur Sanders under center.
- Will the wind cause chaos? There's a chance the bitter cold temperatures are the only impact of the swirling winds into Solider Field. But if we truly see wind gusts reaching 25 mph, that's enough to derail these kicking units or even to change the trajectory of a deep pass downfield. I would not count on special teams in these conditions and would rather rely on short-yardage conversions - another point in favor of the hosts.
