My NFL best bets for Week 17 look to build off our profitable best bets column from Christmas Day, which included a +120 cash on a player prop.

As part of our NFL Week 17 predictions, I offer my most confident five-star two-leg moneyline parlay on teams looking to inch closer towards a division title. I am also buying low on a Ravens pass catcher amid quarterback injury news, and am looking to cash big with a +210 anytime touchdown wager on a player who has been hot recently.

Jaguars + Seahawks ML parlay (-135) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Philip Rivers experiment went south in a hurry for Indianapolis last week, though the latest loss can mostly be pinned on a defense that allowed Brock Purdy to throw five touchdowns (the most by a 49ers quarterback since SB XXIX).

Jonathan Taylor has averaged just 3.5 yards per rush since Week 12 (26th-most in the NFL), and should be bottled up once again by a Jaguars defense that has allowed the fewest rushing yards to running backs this season.

I am also expecting Seattle to win outright in Carolina, as the Panthers’ NFC South title hopes will come down to Week 18 anyway as long as Tampa Bay beats Miami.

Bears-49ers Under 52.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐

This may seem like a blasphemous play in backing the Under in a game involving San Francisco, as the 49ers have not punted in 21 straight drives (longest streak in the NFL). And while Brock Purdy is coming off a career-high five touchdown passes, this play is more based off of potential limited availability from star pass catchers.

Chicago has allowed the fifth-most passing touchdowns this season. But San Francisco’s passing attack is most dangerous with tight end George Kittle patrolling the middle of the field, and he is now not 100% with an ankle injury. Meanwhile, the Bears held the Packers to zero touchdowns on five red-zone opportunities last week.

Zay Flowers Over 45.5 receiving yards (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I am buying Zay Flowers at a decreased total, as he will likely have Tyler Huntley throwing him the ball rather than Lamar Jackson.

Flowers has the sixth-highest target share among wide receivers. He faces a Packers defense that has allowed the most touchdowns and the seventh-most yards to wide receivers since Week 12.

This is a confident four-star play, no matter who is under center for the Ravens, as Green Bay plays zone coverage at the fifth-highest rate. Flowers eats up zone coverage, accruing nearly 500 more yards against zone than any other Ravens player.

I am banking on Flowers going Over this projected total for the fourth consecutive game, and 12th time in the last 13.

Kenneth Gainwell anytime touchdown scorer (+210) ⭐⭐⭐

With D.K. Metcalf serving the first game of a two-game suspension, I expect Kenneth Gainwell to be even more involved in the Steelers offense than he has been recently, especially in the passing game.

Gainwell has seen six targets per game over the last six, and faces a Browns defense that has allowed the most rushing touchdowns and the fifth-most yards since Week 12.

These are great odds for Gainwell to score a touchdown for the third time in the last four games.

Trey McBride Over 6.5 receptions (-125) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cardinals tight end Trey McBride is coming off a game with four receptions for 27 yards, snapping a streak of 16 consecutive games with at least five catches. But I expect a huge bounceback game from a guy who has the third-most receptions in the league (109), and who needs just eight more to set the single-season record for a tight end.

This is a great matchup for McBride to get that record, as the Bengals have allowed the most catches, yards, and touchdowns to tight ends. In fact, Cincinnati has allowed 300 more yards to tight ends than any other team.
