Williams enters Wild Card Weekend in a fantastic matchup for himself and the Rams. Los Angeles is playing the worst team in the playoffs, the Panthers, and the Rams are favored by a massive 10.5 points.
The Panthers have allowed the sixth-most rushing touchdowns in the NFL this season, with 20. In addition to their inability to stop the run, they enter this matchup as 10.5-point underdogs. I anticipate the Rams going up early and running out the clock, as that is the most effective game plan to secure a victory. Williams should get plenty of opportunities to find pay dirt, and I fully expect him to reach the end zone twice, cashing our +500 leg of the parlay.
Christian McCaffrey, RB, 49ers (+500) ββββ
McCaffrey enters Wild Card Weekend against the Philadelphia Eagles. He is the most dynamic running back in the NFL and is going up against an Eagles team that has struggled mightily against the run.
Similar to the Panthers, the Eagles have allowed the sixth-most rushing touchdowns in the NFL this season, with 20. The 49ers should deploy a McCaffrey-centric game script in this contest, as he is a weapon in both the rushing and receiving games. He has a combined 17 touchdowns this season between rushing and receiving, and I anticipate him being the focal point of the 49ersβ offense. He should be able to find pay dirt twice in this matchup and cash our +500 second leg.
