🏀 Richmond vs. Nebraska Prediction & Picks: Women's March Madness First Four (March 18)
Last Updated: March 18, 2026 11:20 AM EDT • 3 minute read X Social Google News Link
The women's March Madness gets underway with a First Four battle between two No. 11 seeds. Richmond (26-17) and Nebraska (18-12) will clash at 7 p.m. ET tonight at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, N.C., airing on ESPN.
Nebraska is a 4.5-point favorite in a game that could be more high-scoring than the total (138.5) would suggest. That's why I'm betting on points for my Richmond vs. Nebraska prediction as part of our women's March Madness odds and picks.

🏆 Who will win Richmond vs. Nebraska?
I predict Nebraska will defeat Richmond by five points to advance to the first round of the NCAA Tournament. With a win, the Cornhuskers will face No. 6 Baylor on Friday. Nebraska went undefeated in non-conference play, but its lack of interior defense led to a 7-11 clip against Big Ten foes. Luckily, that won't be a problem against a Richmond team that likes to shoot the 3-ball.
Score prediction: Nebraska 75, Richmond 70
💰 Richmond vs. Nebraska prediction & best bet
Nebraska Over 71.5 points (-115)
This game has track meet written all over it, but I'd rather bet the Nebraska team total in case Richmond's shots aren't falling.
The Cornhuskers averaged 79.3 points per game this season. They have scored more than 71 points in 20 of their 30 games. More importantly, they've scored at least 78 points in 17 of their 18 victories this season.
If I'm projecting Nebraska to win tonight's First Four matchup, I must bet on this team to clear its low team total. This total is only available at DraftKings and bet365, with the former shop offering slightly better odds.
🚀 Richmond vs. Nebraska same-game parlay
As detailed above, I'm on Nebraska to clear its team total in a win over Richmond for tonight's First Four battle. If you want the best possible ROI, a simple two-leg parlay might be the way to approach this matchup.

💡 How I'm betting Richmond vs. Nebraska: Women's March Madness
Follow all of our college basketball analysis and expert predictions for March Madness.
As I sat down to write this preview Wednesday morning, Nebraska moved from being a 3.5 to 4.5-point favorite. That tells me there was some respected action on the Cornhuskers, but it also moved it to a place where I wasn't comfortable with a spread wager.
As a result, I'm betting on the Cornhuskers in other ways before those markets catch. In this case, I think their team total is a touch too low.
I've only allocated two units for this game, but it's all centered around the idea that Nebraska will take care of business.
📊 Live Richmond vs. Nebraska odds: Women's March Madness First Four
The spread for this game climbed from 3.5 to 4.5 on Wednesday morning, indicating that the Cornhuskers are the preferred side for those with market influence. The total has remained the same at 138.5.
I suspect the total has room to climb, considering Richmond's path to an upset involves getting hot from deep. The Spiders have two players who rank in the top-20 in 3-pointers this season. Nebraska is also averaging almost 80 points per contest.
