Roberts led Penn by far in Evan Miyakawa’s adjusted on the court versus off the court efficiency data. While he scored 12 points apiece in two regular season losses to Yale, the Bulldogs won’t have to chase him all over the court, and can instead use the focus of their Ivy-best adjusted defensive efficiency elsewhere.

Someone has to step up for Penn in Ethan Roberts’ absence, and it’s clear that head coach Fran McCaffery is going to utilize mismatches with 6-foot-9 power forward TJ Power as much as he can.
In yesterday’s win over Harvard, Power attempted 13 shots for just the second time in the last five games. But he has been consistently used as a stretch four before Roberts’ injury, as yesterday was the sixth time in the last seven games that he attempted at least seven 3-pointers.
Power was the Ivy League’s best 3-point shooter in league play at 47.7%, and top-35 nationally. His 3-point prowess should be leaned upon heavily for the Quakers to try and pull the upset.

It will take a near perfect game from Penn to pull the upset today, and I do not see it happening. One could argue the Bulldogs already survived their toughest test of this mini two-game tournament by having to win a true road game at Cornell yesterday.
Even though Yale's last two Ivy League Championship wins in the last two years have come by seven combined points, I love the contrarian nature of laying the points with the bigger spread, as all three of my wagers are one-unit plays.
