🏀 Oklahoma vs. South Carolina Prediction & Picks: Women's March Madness Sweet 16 (March 28)

No. 1 seed South Carolina gets a chance to avenge a rare regular-season defeat when it faces No. 4 seed Oklahoma in the women's March Madness Sweet 16 battle. Tipoff is 5 p.m. ET on Saturday at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif. (ESPN).
Despite losing by 12 to the Sooners in January, the Gamecocks are the 17.5-point betting favorite. Still, there are important lessons to be learned from the first meeting as I make my Oklahoma vs. South Carolina prediction based on the latest women's March Madness odds.

🏆 Who will win Oklahoma vs. South Carolina?
South Carolina missed 15 layups in an overtime loss to Oklahoma on Jan. 22. I'd be surprised if the Gamecocks struggle like that again, which is why I'm predicting them to win by a comfortable margin in Saturday's Sweet 16 matchup. South Carolina has only lost three times all year.
Score prediction: South Carolina 86, Oklahoma 69
💰 Oklahoma vs. South Carolina prediction & best bet
First half Over 73.5 points (-110)
There is a reason why this game features the highest total of the Sweet 16 slate.
South Carolina ranks third in the country with an average of 87.2 points per game, while Oklahoma is fourth with an average of 86.5. The Sooners also play at the fastest pace (81.1) in the sport.
Even with the Gamecocks missing 15 layups in their regular-season meeting, these two teams still averaged a pace of 80.7 and combined for 79 points in the first half.
The first-half total is painted 73.5 across the board, but BetMGM offers the best deal at -110. I'd play it at -115 or better as a 3-star play.
🔥 Best Oklahoma vs. South Carolina player prop bet
Joyce Edwards Over 19.5 points (-112)
South Carolina forward Joyce Edwards had one of her worst performances of the season when these teams previously met. She scored 12 points on 3-of-12 shooting, marking her worst field goal percentage (25%) this season.
Fortunately for the Gamecocks, Edwards is typically much better than that. She's averaged 19.9 points per game while shooting 59.5% from the floor and has scored at least 20 points in 21 of her 36 contests.
Considering this is a pace-up spot, I love the Over on Edwards' scoring prop as a 4-star play. Of the best sports betting sites, this market is only available at bet365.
🚀 Oklahoma vs. South Carolina same-game parlay
Since bet365 is the lone shop offering point totals for players, it was a no-brainer as to where I'd place this Oklahoma vs. South Carolina parlay. I actually think the main markets are super efficient based on my projections, so I see no reason to add a third leg to this SGP.
💵 Oklahoma vs. South Carolina SGP picks
- Joyce Edwards Over 19.5 points
- First half Over 73.5
Best odds: +210 via bet365 (0.1u -> 0.21u)

💡 How I'm betting Oklahoma vs. South Carolina: Women's March Madness
Follow all of our college basketball analysis and expert predictions for March Madness.
In my opinion, the game markets are extremely fair for this Sweet 16 matchup. I project South Carolina to win by 17 and the two teams to combine for 155 points. As such, I see no reason to touch the 18-point spread or total of 153.5.
So that's why I've only allocated 1.5 units between two plays for Oklahoma vs. South Carolina. My favorite angle is Edwards' points prop, but I'd pass if that line climbed above 20.
📊 Live Oklahoma vs. South Carolina odds: Women's March Madness Sweet 16
South Carolina is a 17.5-point favorite over Oklahoma in Saturday's matchup. The game total is 153.5.
With DraftKings reporting that 93% of bets are on the Gamecocks, I wouldn't be surprised to see the spread climb. I'm less certain about the total, though I'd consider the Over if it dropped a couple points before tipoff.
