My Kansas vs. Colorado prediction today backs the road team, with the Jayhawks entering as a 4.5-point betting favorite over the Buffaloes.

Kansas (13-5, 3-2 Big 12) will need to build on last week’s momentum without head coach Bill Self as it travels to face Colorado (12-6, 2-3). Tipoff from the CU Events Center in Boulder, Colo., is set for 11 p.m. ET (ESPN). Self did not travel with the team after being hospitalized on Monday, meaning the Jayhawks will attempt to win a third straight game - and their first on the road - without their head coach.

These two teams are trending in opposite directions, and the market isn’t even making us pay for it. KenPom projects a six-point win for the Jayhawks.

Colorado has lost three in a row and five of its past seven games, a stretch that has dropped this team 13 spots on KenPom. Kansas, meanwhile, is coming off convincing victories over Iowa State and Baylor.

According to Bart Torvik, the Jayhawks ranked seventh in adjusted offensive efficiency over the past two weeks.

I’ll bank on an inspired effort from the Jayhawks in tonight’s game without Self.

Score prediction: Kansas 82, Colorado 75

🔥 Best Kansas vs. Colorado player prop: Flory Bidunga Under 13.5 points (-125) ⭐⭐⭐

Kansas center Flory Bidunga has struggled on the road this year. He’s averaging 9.8 points in six road contests compared to his average of 16.4 points in 12 home outings. Last season, he averaged 2.5 points fewer away from Allen Fieldhouse.

In addition, Colorado has done a solid job of keeping opponents away from the rim. KenPom’s new average 2-point attempt distance metric quantifies the average distance to the basket on 2-point shots. The Buffaloes rank 75th nationally in that metric.
