My Dayton vs. Marquette prediction believes the Flyers have a chance to pull off a road upset over the Golden Eagles.
Marquette (3-2) is a 5.5-point favorite, but Dayton (3-1) has the formula to make things interesting. Tipoff is 7:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on truTV.

🏀 Dayton vs. Marquette preview & score prediction
Shaka Smart’s Golden Eagles have a freshman point guard leading the way, which could spell trouble against the Flyers’ pressure defense. That’s why I’m interested in backing Dayton at +5.5, netting $9.09 on a $10 wager.
The Flyers will force turnovers
Few teams in the country are as good as Dayton at forcing turnovers. The Flyers rank 12th in the nation with a defensive turnover rate of 24.3%. The national average is 17.3%.
That could be a problem for the Golden Eagles, who have an offensive turnover rate of 15.5% through five games. They are led by freshman point guard Nigel James, who is the team’s third point guard in as many years following the departures of Tyler Kolek and Kam Jones. James has a turnover rate of 18.1% thus far.
If Dayton can force some turnovers to create fastbreak points, it could help take the crowd out of the game. Marquette is coming off a seven-point home loss to Maryland, so the fan base might be more uneasy on Wednesday.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the Flyers pull off the upset, but they are certainly capable of staying within two possessions.
Score prediction: Marquette 80, Dayton 77

🆚 Dayton vs. Marquette matchup to watch
Javon Bennett vs. Nigel James
While Marquette has a freshman point guard, senior Javon Bennett leads the Dayton offense. He’s in his third season with the program, embracing the most significant role of his tenure this year.
So far this season, Bennett is averaging 18.3 points and 3.8 assists per game. He’s dished at least three dimes in two of his past three outings, recording 13 assists over that span.
This assist prop is too low, especially if Dayton can create easy transition buckets. At -130, a $10 bet generates a $7.69 profit.
Best prop bet: Javon Bennett Over 2.5 assists (-130 via BetMGM)
