My college basketball best bets and player props today cannot wait to dive into the plethora of multi-team tournament games that serve as the perfect precursor to Feast Week.
My college basketball expert picks have gone 9-3 over three straight profitable days. The Boardwalk Battle in Dayton Beach gave us two games worth of data to sift through, and I add a player prop from a Portland team that broke out for 103 points last night.

💰 College basketball expert picks today
🔥 Southern Indiana vs. UIC prediction: UIC -6.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Southern Indiana entered the Boardwalk Battle shooting under 40% from 2-point range. That included dissecting South Dakota’s press for just 29 points, while the Coyotes have allowed 88.3 points per game in their other four games against D-I competition.
Meanwhile, UIC executed its game plan well against High Point, turning the Panthers into a jump shooting team that attempted more threes than twos (28 to 27). But the Flames’ ultimate undoing was 18 turnovers against High Points’ top 20 turnover-producing defense.
Turnovers shouldn’t be an issue against a Screaming Eagles defense that ranks 234th in turnover rate (16.5%).
FanDuel’s point spread is a full point lower than the -7.5 on the high end of the market. Its standard -110 juice at 52.38% implied odds would net $9.09 in profits on a winning $10 wager.
⬇️ Incarnate Word vs. High Point prediction: Under 161.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
High Point scored 90 in its opening Boardwalk Battle victory in large part because of the 18 turnovers it forced that led to runouts. But Incarnate Word is a bad matchup for a team that relies heavily on turnovers, as it turns the ball over at the 12th-lowest rate in the country (11.8%).
Instead of backing the Cardinals on the point spread because of that, I am looking more to the Under as one of my best college basketball expert picks given the unique style of defense they play.
Incarnate Word employs a 1-3-1 zone almost exclusively, and that is a great way to neutralize a High Point offense that typically puts a ton of pressure at the rim on its opponents. With just one day to prepare for it, we should see the Under cash just like it has in 12 of the 19 games when Incarnate Word has played on one day of rest over the last three seasons.
The -110 odds at bet365 carry a 52.38% implied probability and would net $9.09 in profits on a $10 wager if the Under cashes.
⛪ Providence vs. Penn State prediction: Providence -4 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐
Providence has two losses, while Penn State is undefeated. But the Friars should not be undervalued after an overtime loss to Virginia Tech and a road loss at Colorado.
Penn State has not beaten a team ranked inside KenPom’s top 160 en route to a 5-0 start and has had one fewer day to prepare for this matchup. The Nittany Lions are 3-3 ATS and have covered in just seven of their 16 nonconference games since the start of last season.
Providence should have an easy path to offense, ranking in the top 50 in effective field-goal percentage, while Penn State ranks outside the top 190 in that metric.
I am headed to Caesars for this wager, as it is the only one of our best sports betting sites offering a spread of -4, compared to all others that are a half-point higher at -4.5.

🔥 Joel Foxwell, PG, Portland: To make two or more 3-pointers (-145) ⭐⭐⭐
Joel Foxwell scored a team-high 24 points and was one of five Pilots in double figures in last night’s 103-85 rout of Cal State Fullerton.
Foxwell has been feast or famine from 3-point range, making five threes in two games, and one or fewer in the other three. But he has gotten at least four attempts from beyond the arc in four straight games and is shooting better than 40%. While Northern Colorado allows opponents to shoot just 24.5% from beyond the arc, Foxwell’s 3-point volume should see him cash this Over.
A $10 winning wager through bet365’s -145 odds (59.18% implied probability) would return $6.90 in profits if Foxwell makes multiple 3-pointers.
