College basketball best bets.

We're offering our top college basketball player props and best bets for Tuesday based on the best college basketball odds with 13 ranked teams in action across the country.

We've already seen mayhem across college basketball with a month to go before March Madness. Could we see even more chaos on Tuesday with 13 ranked teams set to hit the hardwood?

Indiana State (No. 23) was a part of the most recent AP top-25 rankings for the first time since 1979, dating back to the days of Larry Bird. The top two in those rankings remained untouched, with No. 1 UConn and No. 2 Purdue receiving all 61 first-place votes between them.

However, things don't look so good for No. 22 Kentucky, which is on the verge of falling out of the poll altogether as it enters the week having lost three consecutive home games.

Here are our college basketball player props and best bets for Tuesday (college basketball picks based on odds via our best March Madness betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Tuesday’s college basketball player props

Aziz Bandaogo Under 7.5 points vs. Iowa State (-105 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cincinnati 7-foot center Aziz Bandaogo averages 7.6 points per game and has been held to seven or fewer points in five of nine Big 12 games. He managed eight points against a stingy defense in the last game but was limited to just three shot attempts, and he supplemented his point total by going 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.

He now faces a second straight stern test, but in some ways a more difficult one than Houston presented, as Iowa State leads the county in near-shot proximity rate allowed, per Haslametrics.

Iowa State has faced four of the Big 12’s top seven scoring offenses in its last five league games and held three of those opponents to 70 or fewer points. Cincinnati ranks in the bottom half of the league in scoring, and the Cyclones will make sure the majority of the Bearcats’ points come from their backcourt.

DraftKings and bet365 charge the same -105 juice to back the Under.

Javian McCollum Over 2.5 assists vs. Baylor (-110 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Under on Oklahoma point guard Javian McCollum’s assists is juiced to -120, as he has been held to two or fewer assists in four consecutive games. However, McCollum is too important to the Sooners' offense to be limited in that regard for much longer, as he ranks 13th in the Big 12 in percentage of his team’s possessions and is still 23rd in assist rate despite the recent lower totals.

McCollum faces a Baylor team that owns the league’s third-worst scoring defense (70.6 points per game allowed) and allows assists on 49.9% of opponents’ made field goals (168th in the country).

Oklahoma plays at a top-four tempo in league play, so there should be plenty of possessions and opportunities to score against one of the most vulnerable Bears defenses in the Scott Drew era.

bet365 offers a prop that pays out +525 odds of McCollum having five-plus assists, but we are more comfortable backing his standard line of Over 2.5.

Tuesday’s college basketball game picks

Providence -1.5 vs. St. John’s (-110 via Caesars) ⭐⭐⭐

St. John’s won a highly competitive 75-73 first matchup against Providence, a game in which the Friars came back from an early 15-point first-half deficit. We expect this rematch to go much better for the Friars for several reasons.

That previous first meeting was only their second game getting used to playing without star Bryce Hopkins. Additionally, Providence is a much better home team than a road team, and it has more experience playing in close games, with each of its last two games being decided by four or fewer points.

The Friars are 1-3 SU in their last four games, with all three losses in that span coming on the road. However, they are more accustomed to life without Hopkins and are a different team at “the Dunk,” averaging 87.5 points in consecutive home wins over Georgetown and Creighton.

St. John’s held Providence center Josh Oduro to five points on 2-of-8 shooting in the last meeting, but he has since scored 16 or more points in seven consecutive games, with four 20-point performances mixed in. His inside presence and ability to defend St. John’s big man Joel Soriano will go a long way in making the outcome different in this rematch, and the Red Storm have also lost four consecutive road games by 38 total points.

We are making Providence to cover a three-star play, as we expect it to improve to 7-2 ATS following a loss this season. All of our best sports betting sites are in unison with the Friars as 1.5-point favorites, but FanDuel charges more in juice (-114) to back them.

Dayton -8.5 vs. Duquesne (-110 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Entering Dayton’s last game against VCU, it was considered a team widely heralded by ShotQuality data as running one of the most efficient offenses in the country regarding spacing and shot selection. That is why it was so shocking to see the Flyers held to 47 points in the road loss at VCU, as they shot just 4-of-17 from 3-point range.

The shooting woes spilled over to the foul line, as the Flyers would have likely walked away with a win if they shot closer to their 73.2% season average as opposed to making just 9-of-17 free throws in the loss.

The silver lining for Dayton is that it gave its offense a chance after holding VCU without a single point for the final 5:58 of the game. The Flyers avenged a five-point road loss at Richmond with a resounding 22-point home victory against George Washington, and we expect the same solid performance coming off this loss against a Duquesne squad that has won five of its last six games but is overvalued, with none of those wins coming against a top-85 KenPom team, or even a team with a winning record in Atlantic 10 play.

This is a four-star play, as Dayton enjoys a one-day rest advantage having played last Friday, and is 5-1 ATS with a rest advantage over its opponents, while Duquesne has covered just two of its five games when at a rest disadvantage.

BetMGM is the only one of our best sports betting apps offering a spread of -8.5 at the standard -110 juice, as others like FanDuel are as high as -120.

All of our other best sportsbooks are at -9, and some like Caesars and bet365 are already juiced to -115 to back the favorites, which suggests the 8.5 found elsewhere may not last long.
