This West Region March Madness Sweet 16 matchup has it all, from arguably the tournament's most impressive team in No. 1 seed Arizona to the most electrifying player in Darius Acuff Jr. from No. 4 seed Arkansas. The action tips from SAP Center at San Jose at 9:45 p.m. ET, airing on CBS.

My Arkansas vs. Arizona player props are centered around Acuff as my best player prop wager, but I am instead higher on his teammate Trevon Brazile, as Acuff is likely to get the brunt of the Wildcats' defensive attention. It's all part of our March Madness predictions.

💰 Best Arkansas vs. Arizona player prop today

See all of our March Madness prop bets for the 2026 NCAA Tournament.

Darius Acuff Jr. Under 6.5 assists (-140)

Arkansas has averaged 95.5 points per game in two NCAA Tournament wins. But while the Razorbacks padding their stats starting with 28 combined dunks and layups in a win over Hawaii, they should get nowhere as close to the rim on a consistent basis against Arizona.

The Wildcats have allowed 80 or fewer points in 12 consecutive games. The Razorbacks have scored 80 or fewer points in seven games this season, and Darius Acuff Jr. has not topped six assists in any of those games (he is averaging 4.6 assists per game in that span).

Brayden Burries Under 17.5 points (+105)

I am making an assumption that Arkansas head coach John Calipari will use SEC All-Defensive Team player Billy Richmond III to guard Arizona’s leading scorer Brayden Burries instead of fellow backcourt mate Jaden Bradley.

Richmond has the length at 6-foot-6 to bother Burries on the perimeter, which is important considering Burries’ 39.2% 3-point percentage is second-highest among all five Wildcats who average in double figures. He is also an eye-popping 7-of-8 from 3-point range through two NCAA Tournament wins.

Utah State may have also given Arkansas the blueprint for how to most effectively guard Arizona. The Aggies held the Wildcats scoreless for nearly eight minutes and an overall 39.3% shooting from the floor, in large part because they extended full-court pressure.

Trevon Brazile Over 1.5 3-pointers made (+124)

Arizona has blocked 15 shots through its two NCAA Tournament wins, while being plus-19 on the backboards. John Calipari is too smart to continuously challenge the Wildcats’ mammoth front line inside, and he knows that pulling Trevon Brazile away from the basket would open up driving opportunities for his electric backcourt.

Brazile has averaged 14.5 points while shooting 55.1% from the field and 38.6% from 3-point range in wins this season. In losses, he is averaging just 8.8 points and shooting 20.8% from 3-point range.

While I’m not calling for a Razorbacks upset, I do expect Brazile to continue his hot 7-for-16 shooting from the perimeter over the last three games

🚀 Best Arkansas vs. Arizona parlay picks today

bet365 offers the best price for the first two legs of this same-game parlay, which makes up for sacrificing some of the payout with Brazile's +115 odds to make multiple 3-pointers. With this parlay, I am banking on each head coach to make life difficult on the other team's leading scorers, while forcing role players to step up and take on more of the scoring load.

💵 Best Arkansas vs. Arizona parlay today

  • Darius Acuff Jr. Under 6.5 assists (-140)
  • Brayden Burries Under 17.5 points (+105)
  • Trevon Brazile Over 1.5 3-pointers made (+115)

Best odds: +656 via bet365 (1u -> 6.56u)

💡 How I'm betting Arkansas vs. Arizona today: March Madness strategy

Follow all of our college basketball analysis and expert predictions for March Madness.

bet365's -140 odds are likely the steepest I'd pay to back the Under on Acuff's assists as my top play. But this price is a steal compared to other top sports betting sites that are charging as much as -170 (62.96% implied odds) to back the slightly higher Under of 7.5 assists. Among those with an O/U of 6.5, the steepest juice is -150.

Though I am paying up more for Acuff's prop, I am returning maximum value on my other two wagers. I would've backed the Under on Burries' points and the Over on Brazile's 3-pointers up to -110. Thus, the plus-money odds are an added bonus, and evens out my max profit at the same 3.0 units as what I'm wagering.
