No. 4 Alabama is the highest-scoring team in the nation, but due to the Crimson Tide's style of play, they give up the eighth-most rebounds per game. Therefore, I'm backing two players on No. 1 Michigan to surpass their rebounding totals.
My best Alabama vs. Michigan player props for Friday's 7:35 p.m. ET (TBS/truTV/March Madness Live) March Madness game at United Center in Chicago focus on Elliot Cadeau, Morez Johnson Jr., and Latrell Wrightsell. Michigan is favored by 9.5, and one of my best March Madness predictions is a five-star play for the Cadeau.

Elliot Cadeau Over 2.5 rebounds (-105)
Alabama allows the eighth-most rebounds (39.7) in the country, and because more than 50% of their shots are from beyond the 3-point line, they give up many long rebounds. The biggest beneficiary of these types of boards will be Cadeau, who is only averaging 2.6 rebounds per game, but grabbed four rebounds against No. 9 Saint Louis. He also has at least three rebounds in 15 games this season.
It's hard for a five-star play to get even more enticing, but since writing my Alabama vs. Michigan prediction, bet365's price has dropped from -130 to -105.

Morez Johnson Jr. Over 7.5 rebounds (-110)
While Alabama's rebounding struggles most favor Cadeau, this is also an excellent matchup for Johnson. Johnson leads Michigan with 7.3 rebounds per game, but more importantly, he's averaging 2.4 offensive rebounds per contest.
Alabama allows 13.8 offensive rebounds per game, the second-worst mark in the country. Even in their dominant victories in the first two rounds, the Crimson Tide still allowed 13 offensive rebounds to Hofstra and 14 to Texas Tech.
Johnson has at least eight rebounds in both tournament games, and he's pulled down fewer than seven boards in just two of his last nine contests. I'll take this Over for -110, but would also be willing to take a bit of a risk on him Over 8.5 if the price is +140 or better.
Latrell Wrightsell Over 2.5 made 3-pointers (-114)
Wrightsell caught fire in the Round of 32, knocking down six of his nine attempts from 3-point range. Including games before the NCAA Tournament, Wrightsell has made at least four 3-pointers in four of his last seven contests.
Michigan has one of the best 3-point defenses in the country, allowing opponents to make just 30.8% of their attempts from deep. While that ranks 34th in the nation, Michigan still gives up a lot of 3-pointers. The Wolverines allow an average of 8.2 per game, which ranks 258th in the country.
Alabama attempts 35.6 3-pointers per game, and Wrightsell leads the team with 199 attempts this season. The Crimson Tide won't change who they are, and even if the shooting percentage is ugly, I like the sheer volume of attempts from Wrightsell to push him over this total.

Cadeau's total is only available at bet365 at this time. Since it's my best play of the game, I'm willing to make my parlay at the sportsbook, even though the price for Johnson's Over is worse than it is at FanDuel. With this parlay, I'm expecting Michigan domination, but with Cadeau and Johnson both hitting Overs in the same category on the same team, the price doesn't take much of a hit despite all three picks backing the Wolverines.

To put it simply, Alabama can't rebound. Because the Crimson Tide shoot so many 3-pointers, long rebounds are the norm in their games, which is why Cadeau is a three-unit play for me. But Alabama also gives up a lot of offensive boards, so I'll back Johnson for two units, as he excels on the offensive glass. While Michigan allows a lot of threes, Wrightsell, who loves shooting 3-pointers, is only a one-unit play, as the latest March Madness betting trends show that he has failed to make a 3-pointer in two of his last four games.
