The Boston Celtics face the Phoenix Suns on Thursday in a potential NBA Finals preview, as we pick our best Suns vs. Celtics NBA player props based on the best NBA odds.

For the second time in a week, the Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns face off in a showdown between two of the top contenders in the latest NBA Finals odds. They'll tip off Thursday's rematch at 7:30 p.m. ET on TNT.

The Celtics drew first blood on Saturday with a 117-107 win over the Suns, who lost despite Kevin Durant's epic 45-point performance on 18-of-26 shooting. That wasn't enough to overcome the absence of Devin Booker (ankle), who returned Monday and should be available for Thursday's rematch.

In that win, Jayson Tatum spearheaded the Celtics' effort with 29 points and 10 rebounds, with Jaylen Brown contributing 27 points. Can we anticipate more standout individual performances in tonight's game?

Jusuf Nurkic Under 11.5 rebounds (-125 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

This is a very weird line. In Saturday’s game, Nurkic pulled down 11 rebounds in 28 minutes. Everyone who played for the Celtics in that game is playing tonight, including Al Horford who had 12 boards on Saturday.

Nurkic has double-digit rebound performances in seven of his last eight games, including a 31-rebound game against the Oklahoma City Thunder earlier this month. But this is a high number against a team allowing the 12th-fewest rebounds in the league.

There is barely any discrepancy between the major sportsbooks about what the price for this prop should be. We wouldn’t take the number any lower than where it is now. If it goes up, then this becomes a four-star play at under 12.5.

Kevin Durant Under 2.5 made 3-pointers (-145 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Durant has made at least four 3-pointers in his last two games and at least three in three of his last four. However, he will finish Wednesday’s game with two or fewer made 3-pointers.

The Celtics have the second-ranked three-point shooting defense in the NBA and are in the top half of the league when it comes to points allowed from three-pointers this season. Even in his 45-point performance the other night, Durant made just four 3-pointers. With Booker back, this number will drop.

Jayson Tatum Over 5.5 assists (+120 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

This line is set higher than Tatum’s season average of 4.9 assists per game, which is why the price is as enticing. Tatum is coming off a two-assist performance against the Utah Jazz, but he did have at least seven assists in the three games before that one.

The Suns are solid at keeping opponents from racking up assists, but this price is too good to pass up. This implies that Tatum has a 45.45% chance of having a slightly worse game than he had on Saturday.

Even with Booker back on the floor, look for Tatum to get his teammates involved. At this price, it’s worth the risk of him having a very off night.
