NBA Player Props Today: Best Prop Bets for Wednesday

Portland Trail Blazers forward Deni Avdija leads my NBA player props today, as I’m targeting a pair of his markets for Wednesday’s NBA best bets.

Avdija has emerged as a real contender for an end of season award as he's taken his game to another level of late, and I'm looking for that to continue tonight.

⬆️  Deni Avdija player prop: Over 32.5 points + assists (-112) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Since Jrue Holiday suffered an injury in mid-November, Avdija has shouldered more responsibility for Portland. He’s averaging 25.8 points, 8.2 assists, and 7.8 rebounds over his past nine outings without Holiday. It's positioned him among the favorites in the latest NBA Most Improved Player odds.

The passing has been particularly notable, as the offense runs through Avdija. He’s leading the team with an average of 18.7 potential assists and 64.7 passes per contest over the last nine meetings. 

Portland ranks third in the league in pace, while the Cleveland Cavaliers are ninth. I’m counting on an uptempo matchup, which is why I like the Over on this combo prop. He’s cleared it in six of his previous nine games.

🔥  Deni Avdija player prop: Double-double (+120) ⭐⭐⭐

In addition to playing Avdija’s points and assists combo line, I like the plus-money price on his double-double odds. A $10 bet earns a profit of $12 for these odds at BetMGM.

The reason I like this prop as an additional wager is that rebounds are now a factor. Avdija is second on the team with an average of 13 rebound chances per contest. He’s had five double-digit rebound efforts this year.

Avdija has seven double-doubles on the year, including four in his previous nine games. As I said, he’s taken his game to another level as Portland’s primary option.

⬇️  Desmond Bane player prop: Under 9.5 rebounds + assists (-109) ⭐⭐⭐

With Paolo Banchero sidelined, Orlando Magic guard Desmond Bane has served as a 1B option with Franz Wagner. He’s scored 37 points in back-to-back games.

But Bane’s passing has been weirdly efficient. He’s recorded five or more assists in six of his previous seven contests. During that stretch, Bane is averaging 7.3 potential assists per game.

Typically, a player converts about 50% of his potential assists. Bane is running hot, which is why I like the value in this Under. He’s failed to clear this combo line in 13 of his 21 games.

⬇️  Ryan Rollins player prop: Under 24.5 points + rebounds + assists (-110) ⭐⭐⭐

Ryan Rollins has seen his usage decrease since Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Porter Jr. returned to the lineup. He’s failed to clear this PRA line in the last three games, averaging a line of 20.3 over that span.

A matchup against the Detroit Pistons doesn’t seem like a good time for that trend to end. The Pistons are second in defensive rating. They give up the fewest assists in the league and rank ninth in rebounds allowed.

Given all these factors, I have no choice but to take the Under to win $9.09 on a $10 bet.
