The Nuggets swapped Michael Porter Jr. for Cameron Johnson, a solid upgrade according to the preseason discourse. In his first season in Denver, Johnson is averaging 11.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. 

For comparison, Porter is averaging 25.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists with the Brooklyn Nets.

I think Porter's absence will be felt more than expected against the best teams. The Rockets rank second in defensive rating this year. With this line as low as 18.5, I’ll grab this value at DraftKings. The -111 odds, with a 52.61% implied win probability, would profit $9.01 on a $10 wager if the bet hits.

Pistons center Jalen Duren has slowed down in recent games after becoming the Most Improved Player odds favorite. He’s averaging 15.3 points over his previous eight outings, down from his season's average of 18.6. Duren has only cleared this combo line twice over that span.

Now, Duren will face Boston big man Neemas Queta. The Celtics have a defensive rating of 109.1 with him on the floor this year, according to Databallr. That mark jumps up to 123.8 without him.

I’m backing Queta to contain Duren inside, winning $9.01 on a $10 wager.

Scottie Barnes Over 13.5 rebounds + assists (+105) ⭐⭐⭐

Toronto Raptors forward Scottie Barnes is averaging 7.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game this season. He’s cleared this line in 15 of his 26 contests, including six of his previous nine matchups.

The Miami Heat are a favorable matchup for Barnes to clear this Over. They rank 19th in assists allowed and 29th in rebounds allowed. I project about eight rebounds and six assists, highlighting the value of a +105 price tag on the Over.
