There are nine games slated for Wednesday’s New Year’s Eve schedule in the Association, starting with a midday matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Charlotte Hornets before capping things off with a battle between the Portland Trail Blazers and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Karl-Anthony Towns Under 37.5 points + rebounds + assists (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

With Victor Wembanyama back in the starting lineup for the Spurs, Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns will struggle to find space on the offensive end. San Antonio’s defensive rating is more than 10 points better with Wembanyama on the floor.

Wemby was a reserve in his last matchup against the Knicks during the NBA Cup championship. Towns still came nowhere near this line, finishing with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and one assist. Towns has only cleared this PRA line in five of his past 15 outings.

I project a PRA line in the low 30s, underscoring the value of this -110 price on this line at Caesars.

Derik Queen Under 4.5 assists (-121) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rather than bet on Derik Queen’s scoring prop once again (something I’ve done several times of late), I prefer to fade his passing because they are correlated in a favorable matchup. The Bulls rank last in the league in interior defense this year.

Queen has also run hot as a passer in his rookie season. He’s averaging 4.5 assists on 6.2 potential dimes. A player typically converts half of his potential assists. Queen hasn’t had more than six potential assists in seven straight games.

RJ Barrett Over 7.5 rebounds + assists (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Toronto Raptors wing RJ Barrett made his return from a month-long injury on Sunday, finishing with seven rebounds and four assists against the Golden State Warriors. More importantly, he posted 12 rebound chances and eight potential assists.

The Denver Nuggets will play their first game without Nikola Jokic after his recent injury, so I expect there will be some growing pains. Denver already ranked 23rd in assists allowed, but its rebounding allowed rank (fifth) will drop without Jokic controlling the glass.

Barrett has cleared this line in 11 of his 18 contests this year. I’ll take this -110 price tag. 

Ajay Mitchell Over 11.5 points (+100) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I might as well end 2025 by betting on Thunder guard Ajay Mitchell. If bettors got an end-of-year wrap, Mitchell would likely be my most bet player in 2025.

That’s because Mitchell remains my favorite option in the Sixth Man of the Year odds race. He’s averaging 13.5 points in the 24 games that he’s come off the bench for the best team in the league. Mitchell has scored at least 13 points in four of his past five outings.

This line is simply too low.
