The Denver Nuggets travel to face the San Antonio Spurs on Friday in a Western Conference showdown, and we're offering our best Nuggets vs. Spurs NBA player props based on the best NBA odds.

Friday's NBA matchup between the reigning champion Denver Nuggets and lowly San Antonio Spurs only features one team with a legitimate title shot by the latest NBA championship odds. But it does spotlight arguably the two faces of the sport over the next decade.

The current favorite by the NBA MVP odds, Nikola Jokic has put together the type of season we've come to expect from the two-time MVP winner. His torrid pace of late has carried the Nuggets (46-20) to an NBA-best four-game win streak, moving into a tie for first place in the Western Conference with less than a month remaining in the regular season.

Meanwhile, the Spurs (14-52) punted on their playoff hopes months ago, but that hasn't stopped wunderkind Victor Wembanyama from polishing off a historic campaign that has him firmly atop the NBA Rookie of the Year odds. He's even threatening to upend Rudy Gobert in the NBA Defensive Player of the Year odds.

Can he get the best of Jokic in a clash of star big men? Or will the presumptive MVP get the last laugh?

As part of our NBA player props and best bets for Friday, here are our best Nuggets vs. Spurs NBA player props and NBA picks (odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Nuggets vs. Spurs props

Nikola Jokic Over 47.5 points + rebounds + assists (-110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This may feel like low-hanging fruit for Jokic after a strong run as of late. But this matchup begs for an Over play across the board on the Serbian star, and this line from DraftKings is the most favorable among our best sports betting sites.

Entering Friday, the Spurs are allowing the second-most points (26.2) and fifth-most rebounds (15.8) to opposing centers, a product of an undersized frontcourt around Wembanyama and a slight backcourt, too. They've limited opposing bigs in the assists department, but Jokic is clearly a different test altogether.

The Nuggets star finished with 39 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists in these teams' first meeting on Nov. 26, and he's cleared this mark in seven of his last 13 games with six triple-doubles in that stretch. Don't be surprised to see another on Friday.

Victor Wembanyama Over 3.5 blocks (+115 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Entering this season, the scouting report on Wembanyama suggested he could be the NBA's best shot-blocker within just a few years. That timeline might have been underselling his talent.

After a relatively measured start to the year defensively, San Antonio's prized rookie already leads the NBA in blocks per game (3.4) and ranks second in block rate (9.9%). Dating back to his epic 10-block performance on Feb. 12, Wembanyama has averaged a staggering 4.9 blocks per game with at least four rejections in eight of 11 contests.

He did finish with just two blocks in each of his last two games following a brief injury hiatus, but this feels like an ideal spot for him to bounce back against a Nuggets team with the ninth-most attempts per game in the restricted area (28.1). Wembanyama should have plenty of chances to swat a few shots into the seats.

Tre Jones Under 0.5 steals (+165 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

Clearly, this pick is a little more niche than the other two, but it feels like our best sportsbooks are getting a little too caught up in recent results for Jones.

While the fourth-year guard has registered a steal in three straight games - including three steals on Tuesday alone - he had gone three consecutive games without one before that stretch. On the entire season, he's finished without a steal in 25 of 61 games (41%), which implies roughly +145 odds via our odds coverter.

That includes the last matchup between these two teams, when Jones went without a steal in 22 minutes. I'm pessimistic about his chances to score one off Nuggets starter Jamal Murray, whose 2.1 turnovers per game are among the lowest for any point guard with at least 30 minutes per game.
