📡 SBR Edge: LeBron Quiets Down Thunder Crowd
My Lakers vs. Thunder player props for Game 2 today feature LeBron James Over 20.5 points (-125). He has scored 25+ in five of the Lakers' last six games. My second NBA best bet is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Under 29.5 points (-112), as he has struggled to score with the Lakers double-teaming him every time he dribbles.

LeBron James Over 20.5 points (-125)
I’m getting the feeling that the betting market is too anchored to James’ regular-season production. He's scored 25+ in five of his last six games, including a 27-point outing on Tuesday.
During the regular season, he was fine playing point-forward with Luka Doncic out and Austin Reaves in, but the game plan has shifted in the playoffs: get James going early. That was on full display in Game 1, when he dropped 12 points in the first quarter alone.
FanDuel has his Over 20.5 at -125, but this bet is good up to -145 on the best sports betting sites.

The Thunder are the betting favorite in the NBA championship odds.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Under 29.5 points (-112)
If you had told me before Game 1 that Gilgeous-Alexander would score fewer than 20 points for the first time this season, I would’ve assumed the Lakers would cover +15.5 with ease. Los Angeles’ strategy of double-teaming him whenever he put the ball on the floor clearly disrupted him offensively, even if Chet Holmgren stepped up to help the Thunder cover.
I expect the Lakers to stick with a similar defensive approach in Game 2. Gilgeous-Alexander Under 29.5 points is -112 at DraftKings, but I'd be comfortable playing this up to -130 on the best sports betting apps.

💡 How I'm betting Lakers vs. Thunder: NBA Playoffs Game 2 strategy
The playoffs are far less random than the regular season, so there’s no need to get contrarian here. My ROI this postseason is above 12%, largely because I’ve continued to follow trends until the market adjusts or something fundamentally changes. We’ve already seen James become more aggressive offensively in the playoffs, so I’m sticking with his points Over until the market catches up. And with the Lakers consistently forcing Gilgeous-Alexander to give the ball up, there’s no reason to move away from that angle until Los Angeles changes its defensive approach.
