The exploits of Victor Wembanyama and Luka Doncic over the first few days of the season may have overshadowed Giannis a tad, but the Greek Freak has been in MVP form himself while averaging 36.0 points and 16.0 rebounds – along with 7.0 assists and 1.0 steals – across 32.7 minutes per contest. 

With all of Damian Lillard, Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez having left town over the last year-plus, Giannis is more or less the last man standing of the old Bucks guard. He’s sporting a massive 36.1% usage rate in the early going, and his average of 20 shot attempts per game is the second highest of his storied career. This is a matchup Antetokounmpo has thrived in previously, including last season, when he posted points + rebounds totals of 36, 37 and 39 despite playing a relatively modest 32 and 31 minutes in two of those games. 

At -108 odds on FanDuel, the bet has a 51.9% implied probability of hitting, while a $10.00 bet would net $9.26 in profit.

Brunson has been on a continuous ascension to open the season, posting point totals of 23/31/37 in his first three games while also averaging 5.7 assists and 4.0 rebounds overall.

The star guard is actually still shooting below his usual standards as well, considering his 45.3% figure from the field is a notable (and likely temporary) decline from the 49.2% success rate he’s enjoyed in his previous five seasons. Brunson also boasts averages of 31.9 points, 5.7 assists and 4.3 rebounds in his last 10 games vs. Milwaukee, and the Bucks are allowing 118.0 points per game and the fifth-most rebounds per contest (66.7).

At -117 odds on Caesars, the bet has a 53.9% implied probability of hitting, and a $10.00 bet would net $8.55 in profit.

⬆️ Bobby Portis Over 10.5 points (-125) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Portis has plenty of upside as a scorer -- certainly enough to eclipse this modest figure -- but he’s had a slowish start to the season that’s included a two-point showing over 17 minutes against Washington to open things up.

However, the veteran big man has bounced back to produce tallies of 11 and 10 points in his last two contests despite shooting just 39.1% in that sample, a significant outlier of a number considering he drained 49.4% of his shots over previous five seasons. He should be in good position to continue climbing out of the early-season doldrums Tuesday, as his old Knicks squad has allowed 48.1% shooting to second-unit players over the first three contests, as well as 37.0% 3-point shooting overall.
