The market suggests this will be a tightly contested battle, with New York (26-18) listed as a 1-point road betting favorite. But Philadelphia (24-19) has won both meetings of this season series thus far as I look to make my NBA best bets.

Joel Embiid is fully in a rhythm now after notching his first triple-double of the season against the Houston Rockets on Thursday. Embiid finished with 32 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists.
While I’m tempted by the plus-money price on Embiid’s double-double odds, his assist market continues to offer the most value based on his role in this offense. Over his last 11 games, Embiid is averaging 4.5 dimes on 8.4 potential assists. He recorded five assists against New York on Jan. 3.
I’d play this up to 4.5, but I’ll pay the -144 price tag at FanDuel for this line to win $6.94 on a $10 bet.

Much of New York’s recent struggles have been pinned on Karl-Anthony Towns. While that might be a bit unfair, it has led to his name being mentioned in trade rumors ahead of the looming deadline.
It’s difficult to quantify the impact of that, but KAT is about 15 months removed from his last trade. So, I could see his production going down until these rumors are silenced.
Either way, Towns has only cleared this PRA line 10 times in his past 21 games. I’ll fade an inflated line.
VJ Edgecombe Over 13.5 points (-118) ⭐⭐⭐
The Knicks have had no answers for slowing down rookie VJ Edgecombe thus far. He’s scored 49 points in two meetings, knocking down double-digit shots twice.
It’s not surprising that Edgecombe likes this matchup. The Knicks rank 17th in defending spot-ups and 23rd against transition, which is where Edgecombe gets nearly half of his scoring production.
I expect Edgecombe to keep it rolling on Saturday.
