Victor Wembanyama tried to give it a go in Thursday’s game against the Nuggets, but he was ultimately ruled out shortly before tipoff with ankle soreness. So while this is more juice than we usually lay with player props, it's also a confident play with the NBA MVP odds candidate likely not 100%.
Wembanyama may stuff the stat sheet in other ways, like his 13 games with 25 points and four blocks, which are 10 more than any other player in the NBA. But to exceed this projected total, he would need to go over his 11.1 rebounds per game average, which is not a smart play if he is on any sort of minutes restriction.
I'm willing to lay the -152 juice at 60.32% implied odds, especially since he put up eight rebounds in 31 minutes during the first meeting with the Hornets.
