Magic +1 (-112) ⭐⭐⭐

The Magic have given the Heat fits over the first two meetings between the teams this season, going 2-0 against Erik Spoelstra’s squad and proving they can upend the Heat in both a defensive slugfest (106-105) and a track meet (125-121).

Both victories have come at the Kia Center, where Tuesday’s proceedings will also unfold. The big X-factor this time around is the personnel available for either squad – Tyler Herro is healthy after missing the first two games versus the Magic, while Franz Wagner is sidelined with a multi-week ankle sprain.

That’s helped Miami to slight road favorite status, but we’re going to bank on Paolo Banchero, who just returned from a long stay on the shelf due to a groin injury and has looked good in his first two games back. He's helped make up for Wagner’s absence, and the surging Anthony Black and Tristan da Silva are both stepping up their contributions as well.

Orlando’s defense remains a key factor, and the Magic check in allowing a stingy 108.3 points per game in the last three, including limiting the Heat to the aforementioned 105 points in their second meeting recently.

Desmond Bane Over 22.5 points (-102) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

If we’re banking on the Magic being competitive and pulling an upset here, then we know they’ll be doing so on the strength of big contributions from their two best remaining healthy players.

Desmond Bane arguably makes up half of that pair, and he checks into Tuesday with a 29.5% usage rate and an average of 24.6 points per 36 minutes when not sharing the floor with Wagner this season. Bane had his worst performance of the season against the Heat two games ago when he netted only five points on 2-for-16 shooting, but he bounced back with a 7-for-15 tally versus the Knicks on Sunday.

Bane also went for 23 against the Heat on opening night with Wagner available, and the Heat are allowing 48.2% shooting in their last three games, including 42.4% from 3-point range.

Corey Scott has another bet on Bane in his Heat vs. Magic player props.

Paolo Banchero Over 31.5 points + rebounds + assists (-106) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Paolo Banchero bumped up to 24 minutes in his second game back Sunday against the Knicks, and the talented forward may now have to shoulder his normal workload Tuesday with Wagner out.

Banchero sports a 31.2% usage rate and per-36 averages of 24.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per 36 minutes with Wagner off the floor this season. He also generated a 24-point, 11-rebound double-double in his one game with normal minutes against the Heat this season back on opening night.

Miami has also been especially generous to power forwards of late, surrendering 23.9 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game to the position in the last seven.
