The Boston Celtics visit the Denver Nuggets on Thursday, and we're picking the best Celtics vs. Nuggets NBA player props based on the best NBA odds.

The Denver Nuggets emerged victorious with a 102-100 road win in a back-and-forth game Boston Celtics in their last encounter. Jamal Murray led the way with 35 points, while Derrick White had a team-leading 24 for the Celtics.

Both teams enter Thursday's contest after experiencing close losses on Tuesday night. Will Murray and White show out again, or will other players need to step up?

Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic were the only players who showed up offensively for the Nuggets during the first meeting between these two teams in 2023-24. The two combined for 69 of the Nuggets’ 102 points.

While both could produce similarly on Thursday, we’re expecting a much worse performance from Murray.

The guard is averaging 20.8 points per game in 2024, but he’s topped that mark in four of his last five contests. Taking those recent performances plus his first outing against the Celtics into account, it’s not surprising to see this number higher than his season average. But the Celtics are allowing the fourth-fewest points per game in 2024. Additionally, there's no way Murray is shooting 71.4% on Thursday, as he did during the first meeting.

The price for this prop varies across our best sports betting sites, with some listing it as short as  -129. That makes FanDuel the no-brainer destination here with its -115 odds.

Jaylen Brown Over 8.5 rebounds + assists (+106 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐

Jaylen Brown struggled during the last meeting between these two clubs, scoring just 13 points and notching only three combined rebounds and assists. That combination was his lowest of the season thus far.

Brown is averaging 5.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, so his performance against the Nuggets was a serious outlier. He's recorded at least seven assists + rebounds in 15 of the 17 games since facing the Nuggets. 

What makes this prop even more enticing is the price. FanDuel is offering +106, implying Brown is getting only a 48.54% chance of hitting his season average.

If you’re concerned this total is too high, you could consider taking him to go Over 7.5, but prices for that number are as short as -137 through some of our best sportsbooks. That price gives him implied odds of 57.81% to hit at least eight rebounds + assists. Brown getting one more rebound or assist for the price of +106 makes it much more worthwhile to take the Over on 8.5.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Over 1.5 three-pointers made (-130 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has been on fire over his last four games, shooting 13-of-21 from three during that span. He was a perfect 3-of-3 from deep against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.

The most significant concern with this prop is that Caldwell-Pope is averaging just 3.9 3-point attempts per game. The Celtics are holding opponents to the second-lowest percentage of 3-pointers made per outing in 2023-24. But Caldwell-Pope should enjoy a few extra opportunities with the Celtics putting more emphasis on shutting down Murray and Nikola Jokic.

The price for this prop doesn’t vary much among our best live betting sites. The worst price available is -135.
