⬆️ Donovan Mitchell Over 36.5 points + rebounds + assists (-125) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Donovan Mitchell is primed for another season as the main cog in the Cavaliers’ engine, and even more so with Darius Garland sidelined to start the season due to his toe injury. Mitchell boasted a 31.4% usage rate and averaged 28.6 points, 5.9 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per 36 minutes last season with Garland off the floor. 

Mitchell also shot a crisp 58.0%, including 50.0% from behind the arc, in three games against the Knicks last season while putting up 26.3 points, 5.0 assists, and 3.7 rebounds across a modest 30.0 minutes per contest.

The best sports betting sites appear to have some confidence in Mitchell’s chances of cashing the Over, with the -125 odds at FanDuel the best price. That gives it a 55.6% implied probability of hitting, netting $8 in profit on a $10 bet.

⬇️ Jalen Brunson Under 37.5 points + rebounds + assists (-112) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Much like Mitchell, Jalen Brunson is going to be at the center of the action for his team, as evidenced by last season’s 29.5% usage rate. But this matchup against the Cavaliers led to him performing below his usual standards last year.

Brunson averaged well below this prop in three meetings with Cleveland, producing 24.7 points, 4.3 assists, and 2.7 rebounds across 33.7 minutes per contest. Cleveland also surrendered the third-lowest shooting percentage (45.6) while also ranking in the top half of the league in rebounds (12th) and assists (11th) surrendered per game, making this an uphill battle for Brunson on Wednesday. 

At -112 odds at DraftKings, the bet has a 52.8% implied probability of hitting. A winning $10 wager will result in a $8.93 profit.

⬆️ Karl Anthony-Towns Over 11.5 rebounds (-116) ⭐⭐⭐

Karl Anthony-Towns has popped up as doubtful for Wednesday’s opener due to a quadriceps injury, so his status will bear monitoring. Assuming the big man is cleared, he should have a solid opportunity to make good on the Over on a rebounding figure he eclipsed on 50 occasions during the 2024-25 regular season and postseason.

As just mentioned in Brunson’s entry, the Cavs made life difficult on opposing shooters last season. Towns should therefore have an opportunity to grab some offensive boards in addition to his strong work on the defensive glass. It’s also worth noting that Towns tallied 13 boards in one of his meetings with Cleveland last season, while coming up just short of this figure with 10 in another.

DraftKings has -116 odds on the Under here (53.7% implied probability). Bet $10 to potentially win $8.62 in profit.
