My Cavaliers vs. Thunder player props today tackle a matchup between the two conference favorites, even if the best player (Shai Gilgeous-Alexander) is out for this game.

💰 Best Cavaliers vs. Thunder prop bet
Chet Holmgren Over 18.5 points (-106)
Chet Holmgren has played five games this month without SGA, scoring fewer than 17 points in each. But I don’t think that’s a reflection of his usage without the team’s best player (as well as Jalen Williams).
According to Databallr, Holmgren’s usage rating climbs to 23.9% without Gilgeous-Alexander. He just hasn’t been as efficient, which I’m betting will change against a Cavaliers team that ranks 21st in the league in defending the roll man on pick-and-rolls.
This line is painted 18.5 across the board, but DraftKings offers the best value at -102. I’d play it to -115.
🔥 More Cavaliers vs. Thunder prop picks
James Harden Under 19.5 points (-124)
James Harden has seen a bit of a usage adjustment since being traded to the Cavaliers, who are led by Donovan Mitchell. Harden is averaging 18.4 points per game in five outings with the Cavaliers after averaging 25.4 points earlier this season with the Los Angeles Clippers.
Harden’s usage rating has dropped nearly 10 points, according to Basketball Reference. When he’s on the floor, he’s clearly deferring to Mitchell. And that’s why he’s failed to clear this scoring prop in three straight matchups.
BetMGM is offering -150 on this Under, while some shops have dropped Harden’s scoring line to 18.5. I’m taking advantage of bet365’s -120 value, though I’d play it at -130 or better.
💡 How I'm betting Cavaliers vs. Thunder
Follow all of our NBA analysis and expert predictions this season.
I have allocated two units for today’s Cavaliers vs. Thunder matchup, which is on the lower end for a specific game. That’s because with the game starting at 1 p.m. ET, lines are generally more efficient this close to tipoff, barring some unexpected injury news.
By backing Holmgren and fading Harden, I believe the Thunder are a tad underrated at home. They are without their two best players, but have enough depth to overcome it against a Cavaliers team still working through a new roster.
🚀 Cavaliers vs. Thunder same-game parlay
My Cavaliers vs. Thunder same-game parlay is backing Oklahoma City as a home underdog. Caesars offers the best value on the spread, listing a 4-point line for this matchup. Jared McCain scored 21 points last time out, so it’s worth seeing if he can build off that momentum.
💵 Cavaliers vs. Thunder SGP picks
- Thunder +4 (-110)
- Chet Holmgren Over 18.5 points (-111)
- Jared McCain Over 11.5 points (-106)
Best odds: +450 via Caesars (0.1u -> 0.45u)
