Valkyries vs. Lynx Prediction, Odds & Expert Picks: WNBA Best Bets for Sept. 14

Last Updated: September 13, 2025 8:30 AM EDT • 4 minute read X Social Google News Link

The Minnesota Lynx were by far the league’s most dominant all-around regular-season team, and I’m expecting them to come out in top form as I make my Valkyries vs. Lynx prediction when they host the Golden State Valkyries in Game 1. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday at Target Center (ESPN).
For my WNBA picks, I’m anticipating MVP candidate Napheesa Collier to lead the way for Minnesota while riding with the Over on one of her player props.
🏀 Valkyries vs. Lynx expert picks & predictions
WNBA expert picks odds subject to change.
- Moneyline pick: Lynx (-1100 via DraftKings) ⭐
- Against the spread pick: Lynx -13 (-110 via Caesars) ⭐⭐
- Over/Under pick: Under 149.5 (-110 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐
📝 Valkyries vs. Lynx preview & best bet
⬇️ Under 149.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐

The Lynx have been laser-focused all season after coming up painfully short in Game 5 of the WNBA Finals a year ago. Minnesota cruised to the league’s best regular-season record while easily leading the WNBA in net rating by a wide margin.
The club boasted the league’s best defensive rating, largely due to its deep and versatile roster. The Valkyries were no slouches at the defensive end themselves, finishing the season third in defensive rating. Points could be hard to earn, especially for a Golden State club that features players with little to no postseason experience.
A $10 bet on the Under would provide a $9.09 profit. The -110 odds from FanDuel, one of the best sports betting sites, come with an implied probability of 52.38%.
💰 Best Valkyries vs. Lynx player prop bet
⬆️ Napheesa Collier Over 31.5 points, rebounds, and assists (-108) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Collier became just the second player in league history to join the 50%/40%/90% shooting club in the regular season. She enjoyed great success against Golden State, averaging 21.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game in four contests.
I expect her to play nearly the whole contest after she averaged 38.8 minutes per outing in 12 postseason appearances last year. That’s a noticeable increase from her 32.3 minutes per game during the 2025 regular season. That six-minute uptick gives one of the league’s best players more opportunities to fill up the stat sheet.
Collier was dominant in the 2024 playoffs, averaging 23.8 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game on 55.4% shooting from the field, 41.4% from 3-point range, and 84.7% from the free-throw line.
A $10 wager on Collier’s Over nets out a profit of $9.26 at FanDuel. The -108 odds come with an implied probability of 51.92%.

How do WNBA odds work?
When betting on the WNBA, the point spread shows how many points the favorite needs to win by in order to cash the bet. For example, a favorite of -5.5 must win by 6 or more points to cover the spread, while an underdog at +5.5 must win outright or lose by 5 or fewer points to cover the spread.
Moneyline odds represent the payout for picking the outright winner (+200 means a $100 bet wins $200, while -200 means a $200 bet wins $100). Over/Unders let you wager on whether the combined total will be higher or lower than the set number.
