The Seattle Storm look to climb back up the WNBA championship odds and break out of a slump when they head to College Park Center in Dallas to take on the Dallas Wings on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET (ION). While Seattle is a 6.5-point betting favorite, my Storm vs. Wings prediction is focused on Paige Bueckers helping to cash this Over.

The Wings may not win a lot, but they are entertaining.

Between their pace of play, Bueckers' flashy rookie campaign, and the team seemingly believing defense is optional, Dallas' games tend to be high-scoring. The Wings have produced the second-best Over record in the W (19-17), tied with the Storm, and they allow the second-most points per game (87.2). They're also logging the second-highest pace rating (78.9).

At 1-7 this month, it's hard to put too much blame on the offense when their defense is allowing 89.5 points per game. The team has been so bad defensively that it lost to the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday, despite a 44-point outing from Bueckers. The Storm boast enough offensively to take advantage, with Nneka Ogwumike, Skylar Diggins, Gabby Williams, and Brittney Sykes all putting up double-digit points and helping the team average 86.1 per game in August.

However, Seattle's defense has been collapsing lately, which is the reason the team is in a slump. The Storm are allowing 88.6 points per game across their last nine contests.
