The New York Liberty (17-10) should have revenge on their mind when they face the Connecticut Sun (5-21) at 1 p.m. ET (WNBA League Pass) on Sunday at Mohegan Sun Arena.

The Sun delivered arguably the most shocking upset of the season, earning a 78-62 win over the Liberty on Friday. New York, which is favored by double-digits in Sunday’s rematch and still among the WNBA championship odds favorites, has lost four games in a row.

The Liberty have lost four in a row since Breanna Stewart went down with a bone bruise in her right knee. She remains out indefinitely, but Emma Meesseman should be nearing her season debut after being officially added to the roster on Friday.

New York should end its slide during Sunday’s rematch.

New York is capable of playing much better than that (even without Stewart) against the worst team in the league, as evidenced by its 100-93 loss to the Minnesota Lynx earlier this week.

The Sun outscored the Liberty, 32-24, in the paint. That seems like an easy fix for Jonquel Jones, who scored 14 points on nine shots on Friday. New York also committed 23 turnovers and grabbed seven rebounds.
