Carlos Alcaraz, the No. 2 ranked men’s tennis player, has won Wimbledon twice and finished as runner-up in the last three years. But he will not be back at the All England Club in search of a third Wimbledon title, as he was forced to withdraw with a wrist injury suffered at the Barcelona Open last month.

Alcaraz’s withdrawal obviously changes much about the landscape of the tournament on the men’s side. Read on for my Wimbledon predictions, as well as analysis on the new outlook for some of the top favorites.

💰 Men's Wimbledon favorites

Jannik Sinner (-270)

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner is arguably the biggest beneficiary of Alcaraz’s withdrawal, as he goes from a co-favorite to now the overwhelming favorite with 72.97% implied odds.

Sinner broke through for his first Wimbledon title last year, beating Alcaraz 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 in the process. It was a dominating performance winning 75% of the points on his first serve and breaking Alcaraz’s serve four times.

Sinner is in a great position to repeat as Wimbledon champion as he enters the French Open amid a 29-match winning streak, needing only the clay court tournament to complete the career Grand Slam.

Novak Djokovic (+600)

Is this Novak Djokovic’s best chance to win a 25th Grand Slam title going forward?

All four of Djokovic’s Grand Slam runs ended in the semifinals last year, and his odds have always seemed steep for a 24-time champion, considering he often needed to beat both Alcaraz and Sinner in a span of three days to secure another major title.

Djokovic is a seven-time Wimbledon champion who finished runner-up in 2023 and 2024 before a straight-set semifinal loss to eventual champion Sinner last year. Djokovic only created two break point chances in last year’s match, and will need to raise his level to new heights if he encounters the World No. 1 again this year.

Alexander Zverev (+1100)

Alexander Zverev has the third-shortest Wimbledon odds despite his surprising first-round exit last year. Zverev has yet to advance past the fourth round of any of his previous nine Wimbledon appearances, and Sinner easily won their Madrid Open final earlier this month, 6-1, 6-2 in just 57 minutes.

Sinner has now won nine consecutive head-to-head matches against Zverev (the last six in straight sets), so bettors may want to make sure Zverev avoids the World No. 1 until the final to give him a better shot of winning.

Jack Draper (+1600)

Jack Draper had only played four tournaments this season before withdrawing from the Rome event in April due to an aggravated tendon in his right knee.

There's no doubt he would be the biggest fan favorite on the men’s side playing in his home country, as he looks to be the first British man to win Wimbledon since Andy Murray in 2016. Before Murray won his first Wimbledon title in 2013, it had been 77 years since the last British man won the Grand Slam.

Draper now has Murray in his corner as a coach, as he looks to advance past the second round of Wimbledon for the first time in five tries.

🚀 Men's Wimbledon prediction

Jannik Sinner (-270)

How could I back anyone else but Sinner at this point after the way he has dominated the rest of the men’s field this year? He became the youngest player to win all of the Masters 1000 events after his 34th straight win in such events.

Since I’m not excited by Sinner’s steep -270 Wimbledon odds, I’d look into a more enticing prop wager like him to win the tournament without dropping a set, which I could hopefully get for an appealing plus-money price. But for those just looking to make a simple pre-tournament outright winner bet, I’d suggest doing so now before the price goes up if he makes quick work of the field at Roland Garros (like he is expected to do) for his fifth major title.
